Star of India Shot's #72 Part Two

Good evening Hive family and all the photographers, what I have tonight in this post is the part two of the Star of India and some other shot's I got while visiting Coronado to downtown San Diego port form the ferry. I said on the last post this will be a two part but I'm actually going to do three parts, I have some shot's that was earlier in the day of the ship I'd also like to show here. So stay tuned for that one that should complete the series of the Star of India ship. Now lets get into of some of the history of this old school ship. This ship is a iron hulled ship, it was actually built in 1863 and was located in Ramsey, Isle of Man, it was a full rigged ship Euterpe. It sailed from Great Britain to India, as well as New Zealand. Then later it was re-rigged barque, becoming a salmon hauler on the Alaskan coast to California. This beauty was retired in 1926, as it was restored for a sea museum in 1962. Now home in San Diego as it is called the Maritime Museum of San Diego. This ship is the oldest sailing ship that regularly goes out to sea still, the ship is a California historic landmark, as well as a United States national historic landmark. Amazing ship and I for one love this thing and unfortunately I couldn't go on it, the museum wasn't open this day for some reason. I also have heard it is haunted and if memory serves me correctly some ghost hunting shows have investigated it before.
