Greetings my dear reader friends, today in one of my practices I tried to make a fairy of the forest, it really took longer than I expected to make it, but I liked the result a lot.

Saludos mis queridos amigos lectores, hoy en una de mis practicas trate de realizar un hada del bosque, realmente tarde más de lo que espere realizándola, pero el resultado me ha gustado bastante.

In order to practice or draw in general it is always good to look for something that inspires us and when we started to make random sketches I put a mix of some music to call the muse of art ;) and the first song that was placed was one of the most iconic songs of the musical group Rata Blanca, "The Legend of the Fairy and the Wizard".

Para poder practicar o dibujar en general siempre es bueno buscar algo que nos inspira y al momento de iniciar a realizar bocetos al azar coloque una mezcla de algunas músicas para llamar a la musa del arte ;) y la primera canción que se coloco fue una de las canciones más icónicas del grupo musical Rata Blanca, “La leyenda del Hada y el Mago”


This song, for those who don't know it, is about a lonely magician who lives in an enchanted forest, he finds love after a long time when he crosses glances with a beautiful fairy... because of the envy of a terrible evil the fairy falls into a deadly sleep... making the magician look for a spell (which in my opinion sacrifices his life) to see her sweet look again.

Esta canción, para quien no la conozca, trate de un mago solitario que habita en un bosque encantado, este encuentra el amor luego de un largo tiempo cuando cruza miradas con una hermosa hada… por la envidia de un terrible mal el hada cae en un sueño mortal… haciendo que el mago busque un hechizo (que a mi parecer sacrifica su vida) para volver a ver su dulce mirada.


Listening to that sweet melody, this beautiful fairy came to my mind and this is where my journey begins.

Escuchando esa dulce melodía vino a mi mente esta hermosa hada y es acá donde comienza mi travesía.


The first thing I made is a rather dirty sketch of the basic idea I want. A fairy with an innocent look that transmits sweetness and innocence.
Lo primero que realice es un boceto bastante sucio de la idea base que quiero. Un hada con una mirada inocente y que transmita dulzura e inocencia.

As I am practicing different methods this time I decided to apply some of the color and some all dark and then apply the line art.
Como estoy practicando diferentes métodos esta vez decidí aplicar parte del color y algunos todos oscuros y luego aplicar la línea de arte.

After I had the line art I removed the layer from the sketch and proceeded to incorporate the hair color and the dress, which being a fairy, I imagined it would be very simple but sensual at the same time.
Luego de ya tener la línea de arte elimine la capa del boceto y procedí a incorporar el color del cabello el vestido, que al ser de un hada, imagine que sería muy sencillo pero sensual al mismo tiempo.

With the color of the hair and the dress I realized that the shadows I had placed were not so strong and I decided to apply more shading on the skin to define it well and give more depth.
Ya con el color del cabello y el vestido me di cuenta que la sombras que había colocado no eran tan Fuertes y decidí aplicar más sombreado en la piel para definir bien y dar más profundidad.

In this image I only lightened the hair of our fairy by lowering a little the intensity of the hair color and also made the wings using first a very blurred base, then one that defines the silhouette and at the end a very strong yellow tone and a white to give a sense of light.
En esta imagen solo aclare el cabello de nuestra hada bajando un poco la intensidad del color del cabello y además hice las alas usando primero una base muy difuminada, luego una que define la silueta y al final un tono amarillo muy fuerte y un blanco para dar sensación de luz.

As the story is about an enchanted forest, I made very thick brushstrokes with very autumn colors to go with the style I had achieved with the fairy. Also the play of colors between reds and yellows looks great and contrasts with the blue eyes of our fairy.
Ya el hada esta súper lista, solo queda agregar un fondo… como la historia es sobre un bosque encantado, realice pinceladas muy gruesas con colores muy de otoño para que acompañe al estilo que había conseguido con el hada. Además el juego de colores que se da entre rojos y amarillos se ve genial y contrasta con los ojos azules de nuestra hada.

As a final step and to incorporate the fairy into the stage, add yellow lights around the whole body and brown and dark green shadows.
Como paso final y para incorporar a el hada al escenario, agregue luces amarillas alrededor de todo el cuerpo y sombras café y verde oscuro.
