[Eng-Esp] Digital art: Elf of the forest.

Greetings my dear reader friends and art lovers, today I bring you what was supposed to be a quick practice and ended up being a whole piece of 6 hours of work. This forest elf is begging while being bound with the thorns of a black rose....

Saludos mis queridos amigos lectores y amantes del arte, hoy les traigo lo que se suponía debía ser una práctica rápida y termino siendo una pieza entera de 6 horas de trabajo. Esta elfa del bosque ruega mientras se encuentra atada con las espinas de una rosa negra…

I didn't really create the image with a specific meaning... I just let each element flow. I took as inspiration some watercolor paintings I did some time ago and present in my beginnings as a content creator on hive.

Realmente no cree la imagen con un significado específico… simplemente deje que fluyera cada elemento que incorporaba. Tome como inspiración algunas pinturas de acuarela que hice algún tiempo atrás y presente en mis inicios como creadora de contenido en hive.

The process was quite fluid and the elements I used were the basic ones I am mastering in this version of Photoshop (I recently jumped from cc2014 to cc2019) the pencil and the airbrush. This specific piece took me a little longer than the previous ones since I incorporated the hands which allowed me to incorporate the rose as an element in the piece.

El proceso fue bastante fluido y los elementos que use fueron los básicos que estoy dominando de esta versión de Photoshop (hace poco salte de la cc2014 a cc2019) el lápiz y el aerógrafo. Esta pieza en específico me llevo algo más de tiempo que las anteriores ya que incorpore las manos las cuales que me permitieron incorporar la rosa como elemento en la pieza.

The first thing I did was to make the drawing directly with the pencil tool trying not to make the line so "hairy" and trying to work as proportionally as possible.

Lo primero que hice fue hacer el dibujo directamente con la herramienta lápiz tratando de no hacer la línea tan “peluda” y procurando trabajar de la forma más proporcional posible.

I then added a base color layer to the skin and began to incorporate the colors according to how I wanted the light to hit it.

Luego agregue una capa de color base a la piel y comencé a incorporar los colores según como quería que le llegara la luz.

Next work on the hair, eyes and lips, which gives much more life to the piece.

Seguidamente trabaje el cabello, los ojos y los labios, lo cual le da mucha más vida a la pieza.

The last element added was the rose, I worked it in a separate layer from the skin.

El ultimo elemento agregado fue la rosa, ella si la trabaje en una capa aparte a la de la piel.

Finally, with everything ready, I tried to add some light and shadow effects that would give a little more vividness to the piece, besides adding a background that would highlight more the tones of this elf.

Finalmente con todo listo procure agregar algunos efectos de luz y sombra que le dieran un poco más de vistosidad a la pieza además de agregar un fondo que resaltara más los tonos de esta elfo.
