Well, my job search was quick. I start work on Monday.

I just posted the other day about how I decided I'm going to start looking for work again, and my search didn't last very long. Perhaps it was foolish of me, but I basically took the first job I interviewed for. It's working in a distribution warehouse, but with the intention of me replacing the current supervisor once I'm trained. He's going to be moving on to a new facility the company is opening in either North Carolina or Georgia.

This job just seemed like a good fit for me. There's expected growth for me within the company in the short term, but it's also really close to my house. Not the house I currently live in, which is actually my father's house. Not the home I most recently lived in before that, which I shared with my wife. No, I mean the house I bought with my brother in 2007 and have been renting out for going on 8 years. I'm expecting to most likely move back in there when the current tenant moves out this coming spring.

The thing is, it's only a half hour from where I'm staying home, and would be roughly the same from the house I shared with my wife. Regardless of what happens in my life in the coming months, I could still make it to this job with a reasonable commute. If I move back into the house I bought with my brother, though, I could walk to walk if I really wanted to.

The place I'm going to be working actually wanted me to start today, and I originally thought that would work out, but I asked if just starting on Monday would work and there were no objections. I've still got Stella T. Dog with me down at my dad's house, for one thing. I didn't want to leave her here while I was working, because she tends to bug my dad if I'm not around. If I do move back to my old house, which is close to work, I could go back home on my lunch break and let her outside and whatnot. It'd be ideal.

Anyway, whatever... this is shinfo. I'm just excited to start a new chapter. I need money to buy more Splinterlands cards and Bitcoin!
