Was trying some long exposure experiments at the beach today.

Makes the water look a little misty.

Nice experiments. The mist creates a nice atmosphere in your images. Did you use longer shutter speeds for this?
One tip; try to experiment with placing the horizon not exactly in the middle of the photo but for instance on 1/3 of your photo (rule of thirds).

Yes. Longer shutter speeds. Yes. Great tip . I usually try to do 1/3 … Golden Section ratio etc. but sometimes forget.

With some camera's and camera apps you can set guidelines on thirds to help you remind.
