Where Life Grows on the Verge of Decomposition - Another Fungi Discovery in our Backyard in the Late Afternoon!
Even in a decay, life finds a way! This Fungi reminds us that endings are also the beginnings.

Greetings to everyone here on hive particularly here @fungilovers community. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this holiday with your family or loved ones. I'm back again to share another fungus that I discovered in our backyard this afternoon and I hope you'll like it. Let's go 💪

This afternoon, the weather suddenly changed from raining to sunny. The rain finally stopped, and the sun appeared for a few hours without any rain showers. Because of that, I decided to step outside and take a short walk around our backyard. After days of continuous rain, staying inside our house had become tiring and boring, and we rarely had the chance to go out.

So during that calm afternoon, I chose to walk around and enjoy the fresh and cold air. While exploring the backyard I went behind my sister-in-law’s house, I once again noticed this fascinating fungus. Unfortunately, some of them are already starting to deteriorate due to the nonstop rain. One had already fallen off, while another new one had grown at the edge of a decaying fungus.

This particular fungus is slightly larger than the one I previously shared here, and its color is also different. When they are young, it appears white, but as time passes, it slowly turns orange to brown and black. They are growing on a small piece of cut old wood. These fungi are not very large, unlike the massive ones commonly found deep in the forest. Still, even though they are just growing in a backyard, similar species can also be seen in forested areas but they are bigger than this one.

The wood where they grow is already in an advanced stage of decay. Parts of this fungus have turned brown, while others are almost black, showing clear signs of decomposition. What I find truly amazing is how life continues to exist even in lifeless things just like this fungus and old wood. Where you go, you can always find small living organisms thriving by breaking down what was once dead. This shows that nature constantly reminds us that life goes on in the most unexpected places even in decay, there is growth or new beginnings.

That's all for today's walk and fungus discovery in our backyard, thank you so much for your time and support. Always remember to keep smiling and stay safe! Happy holidays!
