One more thought, which I didn't bargain for...
But my head still aches, and my heart is numb..
It was but one thought, one distant memory,
But much like last night's, dreams not meant to be...
Is this the heaven - my heart spinning on wheels..?
Tell me, because I can't keep pulling strings,
Chasing butterflies, to find they lost their wings..
You were graceful, just like the many nights before..
But then again, you left a thought behind,
And for the umpteenth time, my heart's in freefall...

Tears almost ran down my cheeks as I read the epigraph even to down to the real poem. It brought back memories that I wanted to throw away. I enjoyed reading but it's heartbreaking.
I dug real deep writing it myself, and I can absolutely relate to that same feeling.
