Fall Foliage At Genoa, Nevada
Yesterday, I got out for some early morning photos above Genoa, Nevada. I already posted the colorful sunrise shot HERE. Today, I'm sharing one I took right after sunrise. The sun illuminated the yellow fall foliage for a few minutes. It was beautiful! But it quickly went behind a big cloud and the light was gone.
It was quick but I did manage to get the photo below. I also was able to get a very wide angle stitched panoramic photo. I like the pano shot but I'm not sure how it will look as a big print... If I do print that one, I may end up dividing it into three pieces, a tryptic.
These were both shot on a Canon 5DS R with a 24-105 mm lens. Two graduated neutral density filters were used on the front of the lens in order to balance out the foreground exposure with the sky's exposure.
I'm curious, which one do you like better? The traditional 2:3 ratio image on top, or the long stitched panoramic photo below?
Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a photogenic day out there!
