RE: #ThoughtfulDailyPost - Practice, Teach & Work

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

While not wanting to raise a couple complainers, I have to make sure they know emotions are worth verbalizing.

I am fortunately smart enough to realize this and my own personal flaws. Whenever my kids start acting up, I remind myself that they just arrived on Earth. Their bodies and minds are still forming and will continue to do so until after they've reached legal ages.

Instead of outbursts and tantrums I try and curb their behavior.

Slowly, they're learning to understand that controlling their outbursts isn't just because mommy and daddy say so. Instead, doing so helps communicate what they want and allows us to explain what it is we're capable of giving.
