BUILDING CAMARADERIE AT ZARAGOZA ISLAND, BADIAN CEBU

One of the many things I miss doing was the yearly team building with my Waterworks Hydrology Division Family. Having a great leader like Engr. Rey who loves and supports each and everyone of his team made us a better employee. He always made sure before that we get to bond as a team and to have fun after all the hard work we put into our job. This was our last team building pre-pandemic, back in 2019. We went to Zaragoza Island in Badian, Cebu and stayed at a private owned rest house to celebrate his birthday and to build camaraderie with the new hired employees.

Zaragoza Island is located in Badian, Cebu. We needed to ride a small boat to reach the island. Are you familiar with Badian Wellness Island? It's also a beautiful resort in Badian but it's quite expensive. We passed by Badian Wellness as we rode a boat at Poblacion, Badian Community Fish Landing Center.

It was really a beautiful Island and what makes it more beautiful was the people who made this stay unforgettable.

Can you tell me where am I? This is the aerial view of the rest house that we were staying. It's actually a pretty big area that a huge group can enjoy, though this is a private owned rest house, so only people who are close to the owner can stay.

Oh yes, I can cook as well. Basic frying and grilling though. Hehe.

While most of them have enjoyed chilling with cold beers , some played with the guitar and sang some songs and others were playing cards.

Then we had our dinner and sang a birthday song to Engr. Rey.

Right after our dinner we went night swimming.

The day went by fast and the following morning we went to Pescador Island for a morning dip.

We enjoyed the crystal clear blue waters and have an equal share of laughter that made our whole team stronger than before.

Ending our team building with a grateful heart and learned different things from one another.

Things were a bit different now though, Engr Rey had to transfer to another department and we are all left with a heavy heart. He is and will always be a good leader and I always look up to him. I am still looking forward for our gathering soon.
