Hello marketeers! It's Market Friday ones again. It's our Market Day here too where there are extra displays around the mini forest who are from the neighbouring municipalities. Likewise, it's our schedule to submit the modules of our respective students. I am therefore obligated to go out from my comfort zone to do my task and do my window shopping as well.:)

Aside from my usual groceries for my pantry, I always pass by the school supplies section to secure Antonia's needed school materials. Education comes first before anything else.It is something that cannot be stolen once it is instilled in our minds. With enough education, it will boost your confidence to venture and expand your horizons to the higher level.I am happy that Antonia is faring well in her studies which makes granny me to willingly provide for her learning materials and projects. Of course, the list of her favourite snacks in included. This is one way of giving our kids their favourite snacks to uplift their spirits.

Well, I took photos on these beautiful and lovely Barbi Dolls beside the school supplies. I used to take notice on them before but Antonia has already passed this stage. She has diverted into reading novels. Our baby is now a lady. How time fly so swiftly by...

There were displays of stuffed toys outside too. The lady beside was standing still, hoping to find some buyers. I hope she will be able to sell some.

I always pass along the mini forest. Vendors often display their furnitures and native stuffs here. The owner have a vast land and the hilly areas were planted with trees to prevent soil erosion. The seasoned ones were built for furnitures. Those that were placed for display will be varnished ones you decide to buy them. This will prevent scratches while transporting their products to the display area. It's much cheaper too. I planned to buy chairs @$50 each since our chairs made of yellow pine woods needs a replacement already.

What caught my attention were the native woven bags and wide hat. They were made of twined Abaca fiber and woven Buti or Pandan leaves. These products usually came from a group of Non-government (NGO) Organization with intension to uplift the livelihood of the constituents in the area through their products.

This is all for now, thanking @dswigle for this awesome commission and thank you for dropping by my page. Keep safe everyone!

I love those woven purses and hats are so nice, aren't they? I cannot believe that Barbie is over for your lovely little girl. How do they grow so fast? Where has that little girl gone?

I do love the pine furniture! It is so sturdy and looks awesome! I think it will make a nice addition to any house! I love window shopping! Who has all kinds of money to buy everything they see?

Stationery stores are some of my favorite to go. I love to look at the miles of aisles that they have of paper and pens.

Thank you so much for taking me along! I had fun!!
#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
    5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Me, too, I love abaca twine bag and hat. I had a story about that, when an Italian/Australian suitor of my daughter saw my crocheted abaca bag, he bought me a leather bag from Duty Free Shop when we were in Olongapo City because he pity my bag hahaha why abaca...he did'nt know about art and crafts hahaha.
