Why does what doesn't kill us, make us stronger?

I make reference to this saying that is almost universal in reference to the difficulties that we may encounter along the way, sometimes the problems we come to feel a great magnitude, to the point of thinking that we will not endure and that we are going to collapse.

However, time goes by and we realize that what we were so afraid of, we were able to face and overcome, but not everything remains there in those circumstances, everything we manage to overcome leaves a learning experience along the way, and from there is born the saying that what does not kill us makes us stronger.

This is true in several areas of our life, because when we get an illness, many times we overcome it and even get stronger, of course this happens because our immune system has responded well to external stimuli.

The way our body fights to overcome death and become autoimmune, in the same proportion we must face the problems, overcome them and achieve that learning makes us come out stronger, so that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
