How useful are emotional competencies?
Without realizing it, in our day to day we are acquiring experience that are linked to the way we are taking reading of our emotions, this way of perceiving our emotions in many occasions can come to delimit our rhythm of life, even entering an important contribution to improve our quality of life.
Our habits are also part of our emotions to be that vital element to have that vision in our closest reality.
Perhaps for some people emotions is something that can go unnoticed, however emotions are something that is above normal, because although we think we are rational beings, we have a lineage in our ancestors that position us in being human beings with some characteristics where they largely derive from emotions.
Many times we talk about reason as a unique and proper characteristic of humans, but the historical reality is that before we were rational beings we acted in response to emotions.
Let us put in context all that this means, that we have a genetic predisposition to act before emotions, does not mean that we cannot control such emotions and act with reason.
The psychological and evolutionary task to learn to behave according to our emotions can be modeled after the emotional competences, that is why when we decide to act and behave according to the emotional competences we must only act before the reason of the experience that provides us with a continuous learning.
It is important that we understand the emotional competences as that way of being able to gather some individual aptitudes that help us to develop abilities to be able to identify and manage our own emotions, the one who better uses these tools will be in the range of competences that allows a better individualized performance knowing how to administer and manage his own emotions.
In conclusion, in order to have a good management of emotions it is important that each individual manages to develop the ideal form of application of some competencies such as self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation and social skills, where each of them is inspired by the willpower and self-management that each one can acquire to strengthen their control over their emotions.
