Historically we consider a contemporary art, since as diverse human manifestations, art has evolved and adapted to the current demands, that is why it is of great importance to highlight some of its main characteristics and thus differentiate the forms of manifestation of ancient and contemporary art.

Nowadays we live under an accelerated rhythm, in which we are characterized by approving and disapproving what is in fashion, it is also important to highlight the rise of technologies, which have made that contemporary art is not on the margin of this technological boom.

What is contemporary art?

In order to conceptualize what we should consider as contemporary art, we should only place ourselves in what is considered as contemporary age, since from there contemporary art begins, that is to say from the second half of the 20th century, therefore contemporary art generalizes as those artistic manifestations that begin at the beginning of the contemporary age, logically there will come a time when we will not be able to continue speaking of contemporary art, since history would also evolve towards a stage where the contemporary age would be left behind to make way for an age that would drag with it new artistic manifestations.

Contemporary art is characterized mainly by the inexistence of representative community movements, on the contrary, it is represented by absolute freedom of creation, so we can conclude that this period of artistic manifestation is characterized by the triumph of individuality against community art.
