Balance between positivism and realism

It is normal to get people in our lives who accuse us of not being positive, and in particular that can happen because of a misconception that we have to accept our realities and our reach in what we can achieve in life.

While it is true that being able to aspire to great things can mean the beginning of great things, it is also true that not having our feet on the ground can become the beginning of great failure and disappointment.

Being realistic about what we can really achieve gives us that deserving place to pursue achievable goals, otherwise we may strive to achieve elements that are far from our capabilities, then the disappointment will make us lose that horizon so necessary when undertaking great goals.

It is a matter of raising the level little by little, if we set as a goal to achieve something small, it does not mean that we aspire little, but that in this way we are preparing ourselves, we are gaining confidence, and little by little the goals will be of a higher level, but we are sure that we can achieve them.

What I mean is that to put in context an example, suppose we want to climb a mountain of 5000 meters high, it is not that we can not climb it, but if we set ourselves to climb it as a goal in a single day, suddenly we can not, due to agents such as pressure caused by the height, However, if we set ourselves 5 micro goals, to be able to climb it in 5 parts, that is to say to climb 1000 meters and rest and in this way to advance little by little, this gives us the security of learning along the way, while we are preparing ourselves and for sure everything will become easier.

If we have a concrete plan in place. There is nothing that we cannot achieve. All we have to do is to take one step at a time.
