It's not funny to see young children who are homeless both in my country and overseas. The hardship is not easy for those who have homes and parents to take care of them. Our goal is to start as many homeschools for the less privileged in the society. My experience today wasn't palatable. I felt compassion over these homeless boys who roam the streets day and night. My fear is of nothing is done for them today in terms education, they could become nuisance to the society in the future. Support our dream today and make a difference in the life of a child. Greetings from @salvadornkpara.

My Little Discussion with the Homeless Boys
On my way to work today I decided to ask some homeless boys few questions. I enquire the reason why they are in the street. The first response was that most of them don't have parents. One of them told me that his mother died some years back and the father abandoned him. They were constantly asking for alms in order to have food to eat and continue that way until they find better life. The question is for how long will they stay on the street and when will a better life come. They don't even have soaps to bath or even water to wash themselves. Life is mysterious.

Why Should I Help Them when they're not my Children or Relations
Sometimes I ask myself what if it was me that was homeless. It could be anybody. The fact that our parents were responsible enough to take care of us doesn't make us better than them. Secondly, as a Christian it's my duty to help the poor and needy.

Helping the Homeless in Akwa Ibom State
For those that are resident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, you might have observed these homeless boys at the University of Uyo main gate. These boys are in serious need of help and if nothing is being done they'll torment the whole of Uyo. University of Uyo is a federal government owned university.

Do we Have the Capacity to Enroll then Into our Homeschool Program?
Last week I met some friends and discussed about helping these children found at the University of Uyo main gate. Most of them showed interest. Prior to this period, our homeschool programs was just located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Starting a new program in Uyo needs serious financial implications. First, you'll rent an accommodation and then find persons with like passion who'll take pay cut for the beginning and later be taken care of. We need chairs and tables to start.

Does the Government Have Plans for These Children
Government definitely have plans for the homeless, but their intake are very limited. Should we wait for the government to do everything for the children? Helping with the little we can to save the society will go a long way.

In conclusion, it's our heart cry to help the less privileged as well as the homeless in the society. Our only challenge is the financial implications attached to this goal. Just a little support can add one student to our homeschool. It's for the good of the society, so we need to take responsibility.
