Pork “Liempo” or Grilled Pork for Dinner and Baby Clams for Soup with Moringa leaves

Hello friends of this community. How are you all doing today? It’s been a while since I wrote blog because of some reasons and today I’m happy to share with you another blog.

It’s about our dinner today, we had a pork “liempo” or grilled pork. It’s been a while also since we had a pork “liempo, and today we had some for dinner. It cost 190 pesos for just half-kilo, and it was enough for us since we are only four in the house and my kids are not that fond of eating meat, so me and my husband shared it together, but I also cooked some soup that was very healthy and easy to prepare.

I cooked baby clams’ soup with moringa leaves; I don’t know the specific name for this baby clams but here in our place we call it “binnet”. I bought it for only 30 pesos and the shells was already removed when I bought it.

Ina casserole I just added first about 2 cups of water, chopped ginger and garlic. I let it boil then added the baby clams, then I added about 2 tbsp. of fish sauce and salt to taste, I also added some seasoning granules on it. When it was already boiling again, I added the moringa leaves and just boil it for about 1 minute.

Then it’s done, we had a nutritious soup for dinner today and some pork meat. It was indeed a delightful dinner for today.

Liempo is so yummy,We can't buy that because it's expensive haha. Baby clams with moringa is also delicious and healthy.

Grilled liempo is one of of my favorites, also the clams. Clams or shells is full of iodine which is good for the health and many other nutrients that is good for the health.

I prefer pork liempo than the Lechon manok.This is more tastier if paired with papaya pickled or the atsara in our dialect..

Wow, your dinner sounds so delicious and simple! I love how you combine grilled pork with a healthy and easy to make soup. The baby clams with moringa leaves sounds really fresh and nutritious. Makes me want to try cooking this at home too.
