Cuando vi la imagen me puse a recordar que he buscado los cielos de mi Barcelona Venezuela aquí en Madrid España y nunca los encuentro. Deberían ser iguales, porque a la final nos cubre a todos, claro en diferentes latitudes, a veces diferentes temperaturas, diferentes atardeceres. Pero siempre busco ese azul que me transporta en la mañana junto a mi taza de café y las mascotas. Y definitivamente no es igual, aunque también tiene sus encantos. El detalle esta en buscarlos y hasta sentirlos, porque son experiencias que nos quedan marcadas.

Definitivamente hay colores que se quedan y son difíciles de describir. Mi hija se ríe de mi, porque cuando llego a un lugar o ciudad le digo este rincón huele diferente y le voy describiendo los olores que recibo. A veces simplemente huele mal y otras simplemente huele a los árboles y pinos.

Las sensaciones con el cielo se ven diferentes, son constantemente surcados por aviones que dejan su estela marcada en el aire. Los días de tormentas son totalmente inesperados aquí en España simplemente oscurece un poco y de repente se suelta una brisa que refresca del calor picante que esta haciendo. ¿Les he contado de este calor que mis amigos orientales en Venezuela no comprenden que es fuerte? Simplemente no hay un mar cercano como en Lechería, Barcelona y Puerto La Cruz donde el calor se vuelve tolerable hasta cierto grado, aquí en España se queda y te hace sudar en lugares que no sabias que sudabas en el sillón de la sala.

Estos son los cielos que recuerdo de mi Venezuela, son momentos atrapados y esperando un mejor futuro cada mañana y cada atardecer.

When I saw the image, I started remembering how I've searched for the skies of my Barcelona, ​​Venezuela, here in Madrid, Spain, and I never find them. They should be the same, because ultimately they cover us all, of course at different latitudes, sometimes with different temperatures, different sunsets. But I always look for that blue that transports me in the morning with my cup of coffee and my pets. And it's definitely not the same, although it also has its charms. The key is in searching for them and even feeling them, because they are experiences that leave a mark on us.

There are definitely colors that stay with you and are difficult to describe. My daughter laughs at me because when I arrive in a place or city, I tell her, "This corner smells different," and I describe the smells I encounter. Sometimes it simply smells bad, and other times it simply smells of trees and pines.

The sensations associated with the sky are different; it's constantly crisscrossed by airplanes that leave their trails in the air. Stormy days are completely unexpected here in Spain. It just gets a little dark, and suddenly a breeze blows in, offering respite from the sweltering heat. Have I told you about this heat that my Venezuelan friends don't understand is so intense? There's simply no sea nearby like in Lechería, Barcelona, ​​and Puerto La Cruz, where the heat becomes somewhat tolerable. Here in Spain, it lingers and makes you sweat in places you never knew you could, even on the living room couch.

These are the skies I remember from my Venezuela, moments captured and held, hoping for a better future each morning and each evening.

And these are the ones from Spain, captured from any moment of inspiration and enjoyment of looking beyond the surface. And I don't know if it's my imagination or simply the feeling that they look different.

No es que no hay nubes en Madrid es simplemente la época y el momento, pero tampoco he encontrado mis nubes de algodón que se forman en Venezuela. Mirar la imagen que nos aporta el profesor Lanz es transportarme a un lugar donde viví toda mi vida, donde fui a la escuela y tengo amigos cercanos, donde creció mi familia mirando estos cielos. Son espacios vistos desde diferentes ángulos. Es la vida corriendo arriba mientras desde abajo la observamos.

It's not that there aren't any clouds in Madrid, it's simply the time of year, but I haven't found my cotton-candy clouds that form in Venezuela either. Looking at the image Professor Lanz shared with us transports me back to a place where I've lived my whole life, where I went to school and have close friends, where my family grew up gazing at these skies. They are spaces seen from different angles. It's life rushing by above while we observe it from below.
