Greetings, ladies of the Hive community. What a topic for this week! It reminded me of when my children were little and I had to advise them on how to handle these situations.

The topic brought up by @marivic10 Post Ladies of Hive Community Contest #286 is part of my children's school past, and as an educator, I also had to know how to guide children in the classroom. The truth is, it was a different time when I lived with them; I wouldn't know how to deal with the things I see on social media today.

Sometimes these conversations arise casually, almost like a question about what to do if another child bothers them in class. Other times, you might find yourself being called to the principal's office because of a fight. They were at an age where curiosity arises, and they have questions to ask.

Saludos amigas de la comunidad de las damas de Hive. Vaya tema para esta semana me hizo recordar cuando mis hijos era pequeños y tenia que aconsejarlos como manejar estas situaciones.

El tema que trae @marivic10 Post Ladies of Hive Community Contest #286 es parte del pasado escolar de mis hijos y también como educadora debía saber como orientar a los niños en el aula. La verdad es que era otra época la que viví junto a ellos, no sabría como afrontar en la actualidad las cosas que observo en las redes.

A veces surgen esas conversaciones en forma casual casi como una pregunta de que hacer si algún niño los molesta en el salón. Otra veces puedes encontrarte con que te llamen a la dirección por alguna pelea. Ellos estaban en una edad donde la curiosidad surge y tienen preguntas por hacer.

What are your thoughts on school bullying? How would you address it? If you have children, what would be your best advice for your child if they were to become a victim of bullying, and what would you do?

What should you do when your child tells you they're being bullied at school?

First, investigate the circumstances surrounding the bullying. Sometimes it doesn't go beyond pranks and jokes. I'm particularly old-fashioned: if someone hits you, you hit back. Most of the time, they never had to resort to that; it was simply a way for them to learn to defend themselves as best they could. None of my three children ever came to me with a complaint or a bruise. But they did understand that they should always defend themselves to the best of their ability, using the tools and skills to negotiate.

Primero indagar las circunstancias en que se da ese acoso. A veces no avanza más allá de travesuras y bromas. Particularmente soy de la vieja escuela, si te pegan tu responde. La mayoría de las veces nunca tuvieron que utilizarlo, simplemente era una carta abierta para saber que debían defenderse de la mejor forma posible. Nunca vinieron ninguno de mis tres hijos con alguna queja o golpe. Pero si entendieron que debían defenderse siempre en la medida de sus posibilidades, con las herramientas y habilidades para negociar.

I have a list of my favorite movies, those that left a mark on me, brought tears to my eyes, and left me with a wonderful feeling of love for life. I generally love romance and action movies more than horror. However, I enjoy all kinds of experiences because you never know where you'll find valuable lessons.

Tengo una lista de mis películas favoritas esas que me dejaron huellas, llanto y una agradable sensación de mucho amor por la vida.
