Cuando comencé mis estudios de psicopedagogía tuvimos acceso a muchos test y pruebas para evaluar las capacidades de un niño. Uno de los test de personalidad que más me llamaron la atención fue es test de la figura humana (Test Figura Humana DFH). Nos aportaba información evolutiva y emocional que puede expresar inseguridad, retraimiento, capacidades.

El test del dibujo de un hombre (Goodenough, 1926) es un indicativo de la maduración intelectual de los niños, nos da algo de información sobre el tipo de personalidad y sus capacidades intelectuales. Se otorga una puntuación de 1 punto por cada parte del cuerpo que aparece en el dibujo y se hace la suma en una tabla.

Este test de la figura humana y el de la familia era de los que más me gustaba aplicar a los niños en el consultorio. Me aportaba mucha información valiosa, al principio seguía las lineas del test, pero una observación más subjetiva y ya la experiencia de los años me era fácil observar detalles como la figura paterna alejada del grupo o ausente.

Era simplemente una información valiosa sobre el funcionamiento del núcleo familiar. Esta técnica al ser proyectiva nos permite evaluar la personalidad y rasgos emocionales-sociales. Se puede realizar a partir de los 6 años.

Los test se aplican como complemento a una serie de pruebas infantiles que nos dan un panorama de las capacidades y debilidades de un paciente. Son simplemente una guía que puede ayudarnos, pero no necesariamente nos van a determinar el futuro del niño.

When I began my studies in psychopedagogy, we had access to many tests and assessments to evaluate a child's abilities. One of the personality tests that caught my attention the most was the Human Figure Test (DFH). It provided us with developmental and emotional information that can express insecurity, withdrawal, and abilities.

The Drawing of a Man Test (Goodenough, 1926) is an indicator of a child's intellectual maturity; it gives us some information about their personality type and intellectual abilities. A score of 1 point is given for each body part shown in the drawing, and the total is calculated in a table.

This Human Figure Test and the Family Test were among the ones I most enjoyed administering to children in my office. They provided me with a lot of valuable information. At first, I followed the guidelines of the test, but with more subjective observation and years of experience, it became easier for me to observe details such as the father figure being distant from the group or absent.

It was simply valuable information about the functioning of the family unit. This technique, being projective, allows us to evaluate personality and emotional-social traits. It can be done from the age of 6.

The tests are administered as a complement to a series of childhood screenings that give us an overview of a patient's strengths and weaknesses. They are simply a guide that can help us, but they don't necessarily determine the child's future.
