Crowd Cameo: mousey smallsteps

avatar
(Edited)

@tarazkp requested a cameo of young @smallsteps as a mouse (because she loves being a mouse).

I don't have child proportioned bases yet so there was an entertaining round of contorting an adult sized base and then after sketching over in Krita, the transform tool got a good workout.

My butterfly (companion of the upgoat) made a cameo (with different shaped wings).

Back to using my favourite sketch shading brush (it's working how I remember it working again now, guess more changes and improvements have been made to the brush engine), and I'm probably going to use the impasto brush for more backgrounds too, it was a lot of fun.

Tried to go for a shot kind of like something Taraz might take on one of their rambles.

He's very fortunate that small is nothing like JJ when he was that age. There is a story of how they went picking mulberries and the kids (JJ and younger sibling) were set up in front of the tv with a bucket of mulberries while the parents went to the kitchen to chat. Went back to check on the kids and found out they'd discovered that throwing mulberries into the rapidly spinning ceiling fan was a lot of fun.

This post also appears on my blog.

Other cameos

Want a crowd character? If you interact frequently with me here (either on my posts or your posts or better yet both!) or on one of the linked Discord channels, all you have to do is let me know and tell me what you'd like :) Everything you need to know is (probably) here and if it isn't just ask (sorry the link goes offsite to my blog where the layout is how I want rather than the one here which is only here because the original one was).

Thanks for looking! ^_^

This is awesome!!!!

and found out they'd discovered that throwing mulberries into the rapidly spinning ceiling fan was a lot of fun.

Oh my god... I am so glad that there has been none of that at all with Smallsteps to the point I am worried she will have OCD.

Hopefully more people make requests and you can collect a series of these :)

Thank you again and I will show Smallsteps in the morning (just finished work and got home as she is going to bed)

Yay! :D

LoL! She might, or she just might be neat, some people are just more organised than others despite parental modelling XD

My mother for example is really neat and tidy and my parents' house is and always has been impeccable (they're both very house proud).

J's parents are the same.

And then there's us.

the house is clean most of the time and has only stayed in reasonable clean AND tidy nick when the kids got older and I assigned them rooms that they have to clean every week

I told J I told hive the story of the mulberries and the ceiling fan and your response and he could not stop laughing.

There is a collection happening :D I've currently got another three sketchies in this particular queue (all repeat offenders requesters) and then I'll loop back and start 3d-ing them.

one of them I really need one of my other bases for and I haven't updated that base yet so need to get a wriggle on there

I hope she likes it XD

Thanks ^_^

It's a great story, I cracked up when my mother in law told it to me XD They had to repaint that room apparently (and it had been newly painted not that long ago from memory). When I told J that I'd told hive this story he said that had our kids done a similar thing we would have cleaned up the rest of the room but left the tie-dyed walls XD

Did they paint it purple/ blueish so the game could continue without the need for another paint job?

Hahaha! That's what I call creativity :<)

I prefer creativity to laziness which is mostly what it would have been ;D
