Τσουρέκια (Easter buns)!
We made Easter buns yesterday!! The most popular traditional sweet buns are made with a dough of yeast, eggs, sugar, milk and butter and their distinctive taste and aroma comes from a special mix of spices, mahalepi and cardamom.
The house would smell amazing!!
And Little Man was anxiously waiting in front of the oven drooling 🤣
The first batch was ready, hot and mouthwatering!!

Really nice. I didn't have the same success. Mine were about 85% successful.

With the looking alone, it is becoming yummy
My mother used to make this with my son. We have a picture of him (where is it?) with a makeshift apron, covered in flour as he baked Easter Bread with his grandmother. He remembers that to this day. Much fun ahead for Little Man.

Very sweet memories!!! I remember watching my mother and spending the whole day in the kitchen making them. I hope I can make such beautiful "pictures" for Little Man's memory album.
