Carbonara the (almost) lighter way

I had some leftover bacon from the day I made my pizza and decided to make a carbonara. I don't make it with an egg, I usually add cream and cheese, but this time I thought I should make it a little lighter, so I used milk instead.
The sauce was creamy enough especially after adding one generous handful of grated cheese in the pot.
You can also go even lighter and use smoked turkey instead of bacon and mushrooms. Too bad Trumpman hates them and I rarely use them in my cooking...

Oh, that's funny. I sometimes make vegetarian carbonara, but mushrooms don't come on my plate. My partner would prefer to find the mushrooms on his plate every day.
