In this new opportunity, I want to show you a new drawing I have made for the weekly Splinterlands contest. This time I have been inspired by Ash Mirage's card, a character that I loved from the moment I saw him. This creature is a kind of flaming tree man, he is a fire character, personally I really like this character. This card conveys a bit of mystery and fear more than anything else, the figure is very amazing and the detail of the flames is very incredible, so I think I could do it almost as good as the original.

[Ash Mirages are often mistaken for inanimate dead wood. In reality, they are fiery spirits that live in the husks of long-dead trees, their charred wood glowing with embers of ash as they travel heavily across the scorching plains and deserts of the Burning Lands. If threatened, they defend themselves by hurling fireballs and flaming branches at their enemies.

Step by step:

I first made a sketch of the design. I wanted to add a little more detail like breaking the character's wood and adding more flame entrances and more flames.

For the first basic color of the wood, use black and mix it with white.

Next I made the monster's flames. For the fireballs (and fire in general) I used three colors, yellow, orange and red. First I added the yellow, then I gave the flame effect by adding the orange and finally the red. I liked the result of this part.

For the wood of the monster I added shadows with the black color, first diluting it with water to make it lighter and for the stronger shadows the purer color, to give a good finish I alternated with very fine brushes.

Then, with a black watercolor pencil, I began to draw with more pressure around the silhouette of the monster and bring it to a lighter tone, either inwards or outwards from those edges, which gave a very nice blurred effect to the background. That's one of the things I liked the most.

To do this, I used my markers and marked all the lines where I needed to draw the outline. In some places I added thicker lines, this is something I sometimes see in some drawings and I think they look pretty good.

And this is the final result. It took me about 10 hours to do the whole drawing, but the most important thing is that I got to enjoy the process, what do you think? I would love to hear your comments about the final result.

En esta nueva oportunidad,.les quiero mostrar un nuevo dibujo que hice para el concurso semanal de Splinterlands. Esta vez me inspiré de la carta Ash Mirage,, un personaje el cuál me encantó a penas lo ví. Esta criatura es una especie de hombre árbol en llamas, es un personaje de fuego, estos personajes, en lo personal, me gustan muchísimo. Esta carta transmite un poco de misterio, y terror más que nada, la figura es muy increíble y los detalles de las llamas son muy buenísimos, por eso creo que podría hacerlo casi tan bien como el original.

Los espejismos de ceniza a menudo se confunden con madera muerta inanimada. En realidad, son espíritus ardientes que viven en las cáscaras de árboles muertos hace mucho tiempo, su madera carbonizada brilla con ascuas de ceniza mientras avanzan pesadamente por las cálidas llanuras y desiertos de las Tierras Ardientes. Si se ven amenazados, se defienden arrojando bolas de fuego y ramas en llamas a sus enemigos.

Paso a paso:

Primero hice el boceto del dibujo. Quise agregar un poco más de detalle como romper la madera del personaje y agregarle más entradas de llamas, así como también, más llamas.

Para el primer color base de la madera use un poco de color negro y los mezcle con más blanco.

Después hice las llamas del monstruo. Para las bolas de fuego (y el fuego en general) use tres colores, el amarillo, naranja y el rojo. Fui añadiendo el amarillo de primero y luego fui dandole ese efecto de la llamas del fuego agregando el naranja y de último el rojo. Esta parte me gustó bastante como quedó.

Para la madera del monstruo fui añadiendo sombras con el color negro, primero diluyendo este, con agua para que fuese más claro y para las sombras más fuertes el color fue más puro, para darle buen acabado, alternaba con pinceles muy finos.

Después con un lápiz de acuarelas negro, empecé a dibujar haciendo más presión al rededor de la silueta del monstruo y llevándolo a un tono más claro, ya fuera hacia adentro o hacia afuera de esos bordes, esto le dió un muy bonito efecto de difuminado al fondo. Fue de las cosas que más me gustó de esto.

Y ya por último, quedaba delinear mi dibujo, para esto utilice mis marcadores y fui remarcando todas las líneas dónde debía delinear. En algunas zonas añadí líneas con un grosor mayor, esto es algo que a veces veo en algunos dibujo y siento que le quedan bastante bien.

Y ese fue el resultado final. Me tomo al rededor de unas 10 horas todo el dibujo, pero, lo más importante fue que logré disfrutrar su proceso ¿Que te pareció? Me gustaría leer sus comentarios con respecto al final.
