One Little Leaf at a Time: Mama Successfully Grows Different Types of Calamansi in the Yard -It's a Happy Seedling for Now

I went downstairs to check on Mama and also to see what'd she catch in the market. I didn't go with her today because we still have leftovers of fish that I bought yesterday. I saw Mama sauteeing garlic, ginger, and onion and on the table, I saw two pieces of raw chicken. Seeing it gave me the idea of what she's planning to cook, it's Tinola. And unlike me who like Chayote for the Tinola, Mama prepared a Papaya and it is feom the Papaya that fall down weeks ago which she had no choice but to sell.

There's a few of them that she wasn't able to sell coz they are still so small. She didn't throw them and now even used it as one of the ingredients for her Tinola. Green papaya cab really last longer even without putting them on a fridge. They just got softer but if you soaked them in a water with salt, that problem will be solved.

While i'm there, I also look around and I noticed her firewoods that was arranged like this. So I told Mama "you don't have anything to do no?" Hahaha. She said yes, and she also said this part will get too sunny later so she just ready them in advance. These still needs more drying you see.

We just talk a lil too while i'm with her. We even planned to go visit Dali in the afternoon to buy milk and coffee. And because I'm already here I also check the new plant that Mama is growing.

Weeks ago, or March 23, when she shared the news about her new plant, Calamansi. I got so excited after hearing it and yes, there really is a new plant and she replanted them in a plastic cup.

And here it is, just a seedlings and out of four seeds, only 2 sprouted. And it is not just a green Calamansi because it the different kind of Calamansi.

I actually shared that Calamansi here last 2024. It has a pretty unique pattern and thi actually came from Langgang, its where my Mommy D's sister lives. Mommy D brought some at home and I gave some to Mama because she needs it, and then she plant its seeds and now we have it too. Hopefully this grows healthy and beautifully

March 28, when she replanted it again and this time on a bigger pot. She just found this pot somewhere and decided to pick them haha. At least in uhr yard, it has its use now, ehe.

And so today, I check them again and they become an egg...kidding, coz look how those egg shells almost take over to vase, haha, so cute.

And I really think there's not much change in it, it is still tiny and cute. The weather in here right now is a bit crazy so I hope it doesn't affect this cute lil seedlings. For now, me and mama are looking forward for its growth. And as you can see she place then in with the other plants, near Santan, and the Bell Peppers.

And speaking of bell peppers, I checked them from time to time so how could I missed this one bell pepper. I only notice it today. It grows here in a the same tree, where the first bell pepper fruit sprout. Im thankful and all but I wish I also monitor its growth ⊙⁠﹏⁠⊙. Anyhow, now we have two bell pepper. I can't wait for them to grow even more. To be honest, I want to use them in a homemade pizza hahaha. But let see, let see if i'll be able to do that. Because seriously, it is also good in a stew or even just sauteed dish. But let see. Hihi.

This visit downstairs is really a fun one ♪⁠ ⁠\⁠(⁠^⁠ω⁠^⁠\⁠ ⁠). And what's made it extra special is the presence of our pet, not just Moymoy here but the whole ASOciation, hahaha, Aso means dog here, lol. Yes, including the puppies (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡
