My Quick Adventure in the Colorful Christmas Villages in Town Plaza with My Mama

IMG_20231228_082436.jpg

To have fun or to relax, that's the main reason we want to visit the town plaza - the only place where we can have our fun without spending so much. Though there are times that I can't help but to spend too - but not always. because of the new foods we discover in some food stalls in there, and I want them to be brought home for my oldies to enjoy too that I indulge myself on spending on it ╮(^▽^)╭.

Going into town Plaza has become one of our habits whenever we want to unwind or, like, when we want to see if there are any changes again in the plaza, especially at the start of December. That would be a new discovery considering that we don't visit Plaza that often, and for sure, in the time that we don't visit there, there are changes that happen. It's rarely, but during the Christmas season, that's when we visit there 1 to 2 times a week or just when we feel like going, and it's a fun experience because of the colorful lights in the whole plaza.

One of my favorite parts of this place were these lights on those bigger trees that you can see everywhere. And yes, because Plaza de Bansud is surrounded by a lot of tall trees, there's a lot of light too, which makes the place brighter.

It is all so beautiful that we all enjoy it. I want to take a picture, particularly with that one with like lantern lights, but seeing the quality of my phone, I just ಥ_ಥ. So I just took it like this, it is more beautiful without me in it, haha. No doubt (≧▽≦).

Another of my favorites is Christmas Villages - and all of them but I also have favorites of course. The first was this Pineapple Festival, back and front view, inspired by the Pinyasan Festival, which celebrated yearly in Daet Camarines Norte. I actually just looked at it on Google, and upon seeing all the Christmas village rankings, I realized they are celebrated in a particular month and it's from January to December, you'll see if you continue reading this.

And this one was celebrated in the month of June, It's pretty, and this is actually the first one we visited. Mama has a picture in this village, but I didn't include it because she looks like a kid in that picture being forced to pose and smile. Haha, but it's cute.

Next is the Sunflower Festival, which is inspired by that and happens every year in the month of March in Ligao City. I never really attended this kind of festival, so it's fun to see that here in Plaza de Bansud. It looks like a really colorful festival to the people in Ligao City. I wish I could watch the real thing someday. And so, there's a lot of people taking pictures on this part, so I just include them in my photo. It's not that bad. And I also enjoy watching all the people take turns taking selfies or groupies in here.

Next is the Maskara Festival, which happens every year in the month of October in Bacolod. It should be the MassKara Festival, and it takes place every fourth Sunday of October. Seeing the big maskara or mask here is kind of, hmmm, lol. I'm wondering how many kids run away from it. It looks really cool and pretty to us adults, but it's different if it's for the kids. This part has not many people in it, but there are adults who also take selfies on this part. But seriously, no, it looks cool, especially those masks on each side with different faces.

Next is the Mahaltana Festival, which happens annually in our beloved province, which is Oriental Mindoro. It is actually a yearly competition of the official festivals of all 14 municipalities and 1 city in Oriental Mindoro, which happen every November 15th. I never really attended the main one of these. Whoa, I'm from Mindoro, but I only have a little knowledge about this. Shame on you self! Haha. This one looks cool too.

And the next one is the Kadayawan Festival, which is celebrated annually every August in Davao City. That's my birth month, uwu. I just want to share. They do this to celebrate life and also as a thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest, the wealth of culture, and the serenity of living. Thanks to Google for the information! It is such a lively festival, it is full of life and color, and for sure, people in Davao are very happy for this festival.

This village is one of my favorites because of how beautifully it was done. A lot of people also appreciate its beauty, and it's one of the favorites here. I mean, just look at it, right? It is just so wholesome and sweet. And it shows a lot of different things and messages. It's lovely.

Next is this. I think this is the Chinese New Year that happens in the month of February, for sure y'all already know that, ehe I should've taken more photos of this, but there are a couple in there who's taking their sweet time to pose and take turns taking pictures, like, Hello, there's more people waiting in here, you know, lol. And because of my annoyance, I just walk out and walk into the next village, lol. But I also appreciate this one, even though I couldn't take a photo of the other side of it. I really like those pretty lanterns in the whole place that give this village a beautiful color.

Another is this Tuna Festival inspired by the Tuna Festival that is held annually in General Santos, Philippines, in the month of September. It looks like another festival in another part of the Philippines. And they made it beautifully here as part of those Christmas villages. And look what I got here, a beautiful photo of a couple, a husband taking a picture of his beloved wife. I find this really cute and sweet, to be honest (✿ ♡‿♡). I'm all smiles while taking their photos.

The next one is the Parolan Festival, which is held every year in the month of December in our very own Bansud Oriental Mindoro, yes in our town. Look at those cute and mini versions of Parols at the top, they all look really tiny. I'll be very happy to have one of those cute little Parols, haha. And while taking this photo, I caught a photo of this mother and son. I think the mother wants to take a photo of her son, but he looks very shy. Maybe because we're there, lol.

Next is the Flores de Mayo-inspired Christmas Village. As its name suggests, it happens every year in the month of May. And it's another colorful creation from one of the barangays in Bansud. Actually, all of them were created in different barangays, just like the Parolan Festival. I just love how they are made and presented to everyone. Even people from other places really visit our Plaza de Bansud (人 •͈ᴗ•͈).

And I am so proud to say that Plaza de Bansud was even featured in some local news TV programs. In fact, if you try to search for it on Facebook, you will see a lot of photos and videos that feature Plaza de Bansud. It just makes me feel good knowing that more people are starting to appreciate our town. By the way, Plaza de Bansud is considered the Christmas Capital of Oriental Mindoro, and we are so proud of that. Anyway, here's some Video of Plaza de Bansud with 27k likes and 6k Shares.

And sadly, there's one Christmas village design that I missed on my last visit, it's the World UFO Day inspired Christmas Village, which happens in July annually. I saw it but forgot to take a photo of it, haha. I didn't even know that we had something like that, lol. I mean, like, people celebrate it too, lol.

Anyhow, I really enjoy looking around in the plaza. I mean, who wouldn't right? With the kind of view it has, with those kids laughing and running around and those couples that are an eyesore to my eyes, charrr, lol, it is really a lovely sight that anyone can enjoy. It's sad that I can't visit Plaza for now. My mama is on vacation right now in Romblon, and you all know that she is my constant companion in these kinds of happenings. She's planning to stay there for half a month, and seriously, I just hope she decides to go home earlier than her set date.
