Let's Go JAM: Finally Had a Taste of Mommy D's Jackfruit Jam Again -YAYYY to the Sweetness!

I mentioned this before but the last time I ate Jackfruit Jam was when I was a kid -I was 10 or 12 I think? And it was made by Mommy D. Not sure who gives her the idea to make Jackfruit Jam but I like it back then. I love to eat it solo or as a spread to a buns. It us sweet and to be honest I still have my sense of smell and taste then so I can enjoy any food there. Right now, all I can taste is their sweetness with a hint of sourness in it. Still, I can enjoy food even without that two so...life is so good? \(๑╹◡╹๑)ノ♬

Time to roarrrrr...Mommy D planned the Jackfruit Jam making, she's the one who took care of it while i'm watching. Of course * help too, I did nonstop mixing while cooking it coz if we don't stir it, it might get burn and stick to the pan

Here's all what she got, of course she cut them into much smaller sizes too coz that's what it is required to. There's not much, well, we actually ate lot of them so this what was left haha. But this is plenty enough to .ake a jam, this can surely last us a week.

First things first, we'll melt a 150 grams of brown sugar. Once they melted we'll then add the chopped ripe Jackfruit and stir it well until it was fully coated with the melted sugar.

Next is adding water in it, the water has no measurement here actually, we just put it until the Jackfruit are all swimming in it haha. We'll cook them for a long minutes anyways so,... Now, we continuously stir it until the liquid become thicker and when they started to look darker.

It took us 20 minutes of stirring and turning before this turn like this. Thick and brown, really beautiful. I can already imagine its sweetness. But I really think Mommy D put so much sugar in it. The Jackfruit is already sweet and then she put more sugar, omg! Haha. And coz of that I am too afraid to eat it solo coz i'm afraid I might have sore throat later. Even when I spread it in my buns, I put just small small amount. (≧▽≦)

We just me it cool in the pan before transfering them into a plastic container which was finally had its time to shine again. Been a while since we last uses these container, lololol.

I really love jackfruit jam, especially when spread on bread. Hmm, now I’m craving jackfruit jam! I haven’t actually tried making jackfruit jam myself yet. The only jams I’ve tried making so far are camias and guava jam.

Yes, we just bought jackfruit jam. As for camias, it’s usually a mixture of sweet and sour, but it really depends on your preference. If you don’t want it to taste too sour, you can simply add more sugar.
