It's Just All Smiles and Sunshine Today: Mommy D's Chewy Banana Fritters With Ube-Filled Cracker Fillings and Mama's Sweetened Cassava
We didn't get to eat our favorite cheesy pandesal this morning. We open the store at 5:39, I was just about to go to the next street to buy it when I saw the Pandesal on Wheels left its usual spot. Meaning he's already sold out. I guess some people bought a big batch of it, its Sunday so its understandable. But in my head I was like "but it's not even 6, I am early." But yeah, there's more people who's earlier than me. No choice but to to to a bakery shop.
Going back and forth could still be a good thing, a leg exercise. It would benefit me, yes. Okay, okay -we ended up having sliced bread, but why its too salty? Are they flexing That they are rich in salt? Sana all? Even dipping it in my coffee, it is still salty, but then again, my coffee is really not sweet. Its an instant coffee but I prepared it with lot of water so it is not that sweet. But it is still bad right? But its good though ʘ‿ʘ, still, why its salty?
I was having my breakfast when I saw the basin where I soaked my clothes. Just seeing it made me roll my eyes because I still have to finish it. I actually do my laundry every 3 days, I hate it when its piling up coz washing a lot would be more of a hassle. I wish we don't have to wash clothes though. When i'm about to hang my clothes, I saw Mama's clothes, guess she did her laundry too. Yayyy no more dirty clothes ＼(^o^)／
After hanging my clothes, I then look around the yard to find the puppies. But I think they are still asleep coz they didn't notice me. And thennnnn, I noticed Mama's Okra, there's only 2 tree of it, and after like they go bald, they're back to its full might again. I think we have 6 of them then, but only the two of them regrow, one tree even has a bigger Okra already. Soon, it'll be ready for harvest
It even has flowers while the other tree already has tiny okras, so cute. Mama will be very happy again ♪ \(^ω^\ )
And actually, while i'm doing my laundry, Mommy D is making something again that I find weird but made sense too in the end, I mean, its still fillings and its actually a good dessert for me but I still find it weird haha. I won't share the step by step process, Imma just tell you how it taste. And, she actually used glutinous rice flour here which made it even better. Yayy. And i've been craving kakanin since yesterday ƪ(‾.‾“)┐ seriously.
Mommy D made is with just enough sweetness because its fillings is already sweet, she used Pillows from Oishi brand, some kind of puff like snack with ube fillings. Its really weird but its not bad. And ahe actually used Milo in here thats why Its darker. And this is mochi style actually chewy and soft. I had to chew it thoroughly or else i'll got stomachache. Anyways, we enjoy it, Mommy F enjoy it. So, yeah, its good (⌐■-■)
Moving on, after lunch, I went to the yard again to check my clothes and also to hangout and enjoy the cold breeze there. But the cassava is on the way that I can't help but noticed it.
And when I checked mama's estante, I saw a sweetened cassava so of course I had to try it, haha -I just had lunch 30 minutes ago yk, lol
And after having a lil bit of cassava, I just hangout at the back of mama's house with this view from where i'm chilling. I am also enjoying Mama's music coming from her radio ( /^ω^)/♪♪. Such a peaceful Sunday.

I like that sweetened casava . That is yummy ! Before in early 80s, we had abundant casava plantation and had abundant harvest . We used to boiled casava with coconut extract and with sugar . Very yummy. Poto casava was the usual food before we ate .
Oh yesss, its good too with coconut milk. Now that u mentione it, I am craving it for some 🤤🤤✨✨
oh, looking at clothes that is being dried openair I remember USSR times, in my childhood it was anywhere in the yards. Now it has gone to the past, and we can meet it only in villages

I always crave a sweetened cassava. I'm imagining it's sweet watery taste and creamy feeling in my mouth. The taste is perfect if there is more coconut milk than water. Omg, it's my favourite. We go to the nearby brgy. just to buy a fresh cassava.
In our place, we've been waiting for the malunggay pandesal 🤪but it didn't come back. Maybe because they're not allowed to sell in our area maybe because many people complaint that they give their customers an overcooked. LoL but my mother and kids here love it so much especially when they see the cheese. About me, I love the softness of Gardenia pandesal and creaminess too.
Im curious how much is the fresh cassava there mama hot hers 20 pesos per kilo, but yesterday is Tiangge-an day, but if its reg day, it would be higher for sure.
Really? Overcooked? Thats what we prefer though, but not the burn one haha, just the one tyat is a little toasted. If they don't visit there anymore then u have to look for them somewhere?
