Flavors That Heal and Taste Like Love: Mama's Cooking are Still The BEST!

No matter how good my cooking (naks, confident yarn? Lol) nothing can still beat my Mothers cooking. I'm used to their cooking that whenever I cooked, I had to compare it to my Moms (Mama and Mommy D). Whenever I do that, I often ask myself, "san ako nagkulang?" Ayyy, nooooo, I mean, "where did it go wrong?" And to know what ingredients I missed, I will ask either Mama and Mommy D so that I can still adjust it. I don't know but, Moms dish always have that taste that I can only find on their cooking. No matter what, their dish are always the best for me. Did they put moms love and care on those recipes? What to do? I only know vetsin ƪ(‾.‾“)┐. Nyangggg!

But before anything else...lemme share my quick with Mama this morning. This is the time where people visits the cemetery but we didn't go today, we just lit a candle for them. Our last visit to Papa was last year, when my lil bro visit us here in Bansud. And as you can see, there's a few things that you can see on the side road during this time, the candles and different kind of flowers, fresh or the artificial flowers. Mama already bought Candles but no flowers, as I said we can't go visit Papa today, especially Ate Riza because her grave is hours away from here. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

And, most of the establishments here are close right now except the Market of course. But Mommy D's store are open. Thanks to that lots of costumers visits us today. But as you can see, the road is really clean and quiet during our walk. I'm sure people are all busy preparing for their visit to their love ones.

So anyways, its hot but Mama is craving for soupy Dish, of course I know what she mean there. Even I crave for something like that coz I miss eating them. This time Mama is craving for Tinola. This is that rare time when we don't have to ask each other about what to cook today because we already know what we want. She wants Tinola while I want fried chicken hahaha. But in the end, I still ate her Tinola hahahaha -and my fried chicken, lololol. I mean, her Tinola is really good so I wouldn't miss it for the world! Teheee

So, when Mama cooked Tinola, she loves to use Papaya rather than Chayote -this one is my fav thought. I don't like Papaya in my Tinolal but if Mama will cook it, well, I can eat some of the Papaya but more of the Chicken ¯\(ツ)/¯. And our yard are full of Papaya Tree so you know, freshly harvested Papaya for a dish lioe Tinola are always the best! And there's Mama picking up the small and green papayas. She didn't pick the big ones coz she wants them ripe. Oh sweet, sweet Papaya!

Beautiful Papayas! All of them has lots of Fruits now and Mama is really excited. Well, she'll finally able to sell them so I am sure thats whats making her happy -yep, aside from she can finally try their ripe fruit. Ahhh, Mama also peeled all the green papayas.

So I let Mama do her things and minutes later...they're done! See, it looks so appetizing. Aside from it is gery healthy, the flavor and the texture are really so good. Not only that but it taste different from mine. Hahhh! Mother's cooking really are the best!

Such lovely family moments with one’s mother are truly priceless. Enjoy every meal and cherish these beautiful memories!
True! Sarap ng tinola, Iba talaga ang luto ni Mama, no matter how good we become at cooking, iba pa rin ang lasa kapag nanay ang nagluluto. Maybe it's because of the love and care they put into every dish. Cherish these simple moments and enjoy every meal together habang nandiyan pa sila. 😍
