Canadian Truckers Using Crypto As Ottawa AG Blocks Funds

This is beautiful and amazing. The Ottawa AG has seized or blocked access to the Give Send Go funds for the Canadian truckers which is at $8.4 million dollars right now.
Apparently the truckers knew this was going to happen and prepared accordingly right after the GoFundMe steal. They had truckers and others install wallets on their phones so they could get crypto, not sure which coins yet.

This is one of the major reasons I liked crypto from the start, censorship resistance. This is absolutely incredible and will hopefully crypto-pill a bunch of normies out there.

Unfortunately, this is the type of news that will amplify calls for regulation.
The progressive I know are opposed to crypto. They feel that it should be highly taxed, aggressively regulated. Most would support an outright ban.
The demand for regulation will come from the left. Having crypto associated with activities perceived by the leaders as right wing simply amplifies the ruling class's desire to regulate and ban the concept.

It's a fight that has been brewing for years. We have to deal with it sooner or later and I think this is a damn good opportunity for us. Optics are on our side as people increasingly, especially in the US, see the government becoming more and more tyrannical.

Don't you see that this trucker protest and Bitcoin are demonstrating the limits of government power.
They can try to regulate but they will fail because Bitcoin is stronger that governments. Governments rely on money to make people do what they want but Bitcoin takes away their control of money.
So many people think its the government's monopoly on violence that give it its power, but in reality violence can only be used very sparingly. It cannot be used against mass movements of people (whether truckers or Bitcoiners).
The mass rollout of Bitcoin wallets to truckers and their supporters along with what is happening in South America and Africa is an important step towards mass adoption as a medium of exchange, not just a store of value.

That is the hope right? The talk of stripping the truckers of licenses, insurance, bank accounts, etc. is really going to wake a lot of people up to our cause, even those on the other side of the argument. They are going to realize when the power shifts they will then be on the receiving end of all these punishments. Godspeed to us all in our endeavor to make crypto mainstream.

Right! What people don't realize is this is happening in many other countries too, crypto-pilling truckers around the world.
Situations like these show how corruptible government money is and how liberating crypto is.

Ya, and situations of this magnitude do not happen very often. I just hope it ends well and reverses the tyrannical direction Western Civilization has been headed in.
