Limpieza necesaria de los filtros de la lavadora👌🧽 [Esp/Eng]

Today we got up early to do laundry in the washing machine, taking advantage of the fact that the water was coming back on and could flow directly through the pipes into the washing machine. Normally, when there is no water service, you have to fill the washing machine with buckets of water.

Hoy nos paramos temprano para lavar la ropa en la lavadora aprovechando que estaba llegando el agua y que podía entrar el agua por la tuberia directamente a la lavadora, porque normalmente cuando no hay servicio de agua hay que llenar la lavadora con tobos con agua.

Before putting the clothes in the wash, I checked the filter on the washing machine where the water comes out, because my mother-in-law had told me that when she did the laundry, not much water came out, and this was because it was very dirty. So I decided to also check the filters located in the washing drum because I hadn't cleaned them in a while and I figured I might as well do it. I removed a filter and uncovered it, and it was completely dirty and clogged, and the part of the drum where the filter is attached was also full of dirt and water.

Antes de meter la ropa a lavar, revisé el filtro que tiene la lavadora por donde sale el agua, porque la suegra me había dicho que cuando ella lavó no salía mucha agua, y esto se debía a que estaba muy sucio, entonces decidí revisar también los filtros que están ubicados en el tambor de lavado porque como ya tenía tiempo que no los limpiaba aprovecharía de hacerlo, entonces retiré un filtro y lo destapé y estaba completamente sucio y tapado por completo y en la parte del tambor dónde va sujetado el filtro también estaba lleno de tierra y charco.

So I decided to remove the two filters and clean them before washing the clothes. After removing the two filters, I uncovered them and, with the help of a brush and a little dishwashing liquid, I scrubbed them until all the dirt was removed, both from the cover and the plastic that contains the filter. Where the metal filter was, there was still some dirt because limescale had formed with the water, creating a hard plaque, so I used a wire brush to remove some of this mineral deposit, after a while, I was able to remove almost all the sediment from the filter.

Then I went to the washing machine drum and used the brush and water to remove the dirt that was there. I then set the washing machine drum to wash to remove the dirt that had fallen to the bottom of the drum and remove it completely.

Así que decidí retirar los 2 filtros y limpiarlos antes de lavar la ropa. Después de retirar los 2 filtros los destapé y con la ayuda de un cepillo y un poco de lavaplatos lo froté hasta retirarle toda la tierra, tanto en la tapa y el plástico que contiene el filtro. Dónde está el filtro metálico quedó aún algo sucio porque se formó un sarro con el agua, formando una placa dura, así que para retirar un poco este depósito de minerales utilicé un cepillo de alambre, luego de un rato pude retirar casi todo el sedimento del filtro.

Luego fui al tambor de la lavadora y con el cepillo y agua retire la tierra que se encontraba ahí, luego coloque la función de lavado del tambor de la lavadora para retirar la tierra que cayó en el fondo del tambor y lo removiera por completo.

Finally, I put the filters back in the drum and I'm ready to start washing clothes. I had neglected this maintenance task, but it's something I should do regularly because the water is very dirty and keeping everything clean optimizes the washing machine's performance.

Ya por último coloqué nuevamente los filtros en el tambor y quedo lista para comenzar a lavar la ropa. Este trabajo de mantenimiento lo habia dejado pasar, pero aqui es algo que deberia hacer seguido porque el agua viene muy sucia y mantener todo limpio optimiza el trabajo de la lavadora.
