In my introduction I made reference to the content that I will be creating and sharing with you. On this occasion, I chose the musical genre from the wide world of the arts.

I am going to play a song where the protagonist and singer will be the Venezuelan instrument known as the cuatro. I will perform a solo with this instrument, merging two rhythms as a base (bolero) and (bird, Venezuelan rhythm), but leaving the pattern and adding a personal touch, a touch that each musician possesses.Later I will give details about these two rhythms.

The song I chose is a Latin American classic "Bésame mucho" this classic has been performed by many musicians and singers from all over the world, in different languages, and to give an example: from the musician who at this moment like me !!! !! He is writing at home, to famous musicians and bands like the Beatles.

To be honest with you, I have been playing this song for years with various instruments, and I didn't know about its history. To create this post I have had to investigate, which fascinates me! So let's talk a little about:

Bésame mucho has been translated into 20 languages ​​and has around a thousand different versions, since it was written in 1932 by the composer Consuelo Velázquez. Very soon the first interpreter who would record it, the singer Emilio Tuero, took his way to fame.

Is the best known Mexican song, played, recorded, and translated in the world; the interpreters and the versions are so many and varied that it is impossible to know each and every one of them, although the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and other internationally known artists such as: Luis Miguel, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé; the rhythms to which it has been adapted are also many, some versions jealously guard their bolero structure, while others turn it into a jazz theme.

This beautiful and romantic theme has been the only Mexican song that has remained for 12 weeks in the first place of hit parade in the United States. It has also been baptized, not without reason, to be the song of the last century or to be the perfect bolero.

Whatever the interpretation or the adjectives used to describe it, the truth is that it has a charm that moves beyond language barriers. So this song that has been ringing in our ears and hearts for more than 8 decades is still present in materials by new artists.

Bolero

The rhythm is a 4/4 time signature, typical Cuban. It arose around 1840. It is accepted that the first bolero was "tristeza" written by Cuban José Pepe Sánchez in Santiago de Cuba in 1883. This piece formally originates the genre with the musical accompaniment that we call "classic" of guitar and percussion.

The genre is identifiable by some rhythmic elements and new forms of composition that emerged in making music on the island of Cuba during the 19th century. Although it shares the name with the Spanish bolero, which is a dance that emerged in the 17th century and is performed in 3/4 time, the Cuban genre developed a different rhythmic cell and melody. Pajarillo

It is one of the joropo llanero hits, considered one of the most refined pieces of Venezuelan folklore, it is perhaps the favorite piece for llanero musicians and where the maximum musical intensity of the joropo is reached. The bird is one of the many blows of the Venezuelan plain and according to some experts its name comes from the llanero bird that was uniting to form what we know today as a bird.
