Our Family Is On A Budget Shopping for School Opening for School Year 2026-2027

Hello Bayani Hive Community! How are you all hiver's all over the world? Hi to all Hiver’s who have students. Hope all is well to all of you. Let me share with you all how we prepare for the school year 2026-2027.How did you feel when your daughters or sons go back to school after the summer vacation? As a mom of two, the joy of being a mom is really a roller coaster. There are times when my daughters would really make me proud and so happy when both are Academic Awardee. There are times that I also felt sad when I saw them tired from school after exams. Well, for me after the two months of the summer break. Here we are again need to prepare for the coming opening. By the way the school opening was last June 8,2026. I share this late but better late than never. Hmm;

First we made our budget on how much we would spend not only for school supplies but also for the food and groceries and list all that we needed to buy. Gladly my daughters don’t ask for a new bag, shoes, socks and new uniforms because they still have new socks that I bought to wear on their recognition day. They only need school supplies like notebooks, papers, envelopes, pens ,pencils, plastic covers, rulers, graphing papers, scissors,and coloring with art materials and many more.

We decided that we would do it for two days. The first day was for school supplies . The second day was for food and groceries. I told my daughter that we need to go to the store and be there right after they open to avoid the crowd. On the first day, we went to a chinese store for school supplies. Gladly the store has all that we need.So yeah! My daughter manages to shop easily because we are early birds. If you ask why we choose the chinese store for school supplies? The answer; It was because their notebooks or school supplies are cheaper compared to malls.

The second day, we went to SM supermarket. The best place to shop for meat, poultry products was Sm because surely it passes the quality check. As always; we shop early that way we are the first to pick from the meat being displayed.

As a Mom, my other worry is what to cook for breakfast for my daughters . I want them to eat well before going to school. That way; they can concentrate on their studies. I always stock food in the house. It's easy to decide what to cook when you have all the ingredients. Most of the time, I list what recipe to cook and buy ingredients when we do grocery shopping. We are not rich but we are able to eat 3x a day with snacks. I believe that students can only concentrate on their studies when they are well provided materially but most of all our love, care, guidance, support, encouragement and assurance as parents. Reminding them that “We are only two steps behind "ready to push them to reach their goals and ambitions in life.

I soaked all their uniforms and socks . Washed, dry then iron that way it would look nice, neat and clean. It’s okay if the uniforms are not new as long as they are clean .Actions speak louder than words; I show them my love not only by words but through how I prepare and attend to their needs. For me, the most important preparation is to PRAY for them. For GOD'S divine providence of their needs, care, wisdom and protection each time they are not in my sight.
