Whenever a story is written, they usually refer to old people, happy children or about themselves, but this story is a little different even though it is indeed about a child, but not just any child, the character you are about to meet is what we could define as a being from another world. Jared was born into a family that would soon become a victim of fatality, when he was only 5 years old, Jared lost his mother to a strange illness that consumed her until she was buried; what no one imagined, not even Jared's father Steven, is that this fateful event would mark his little boy forever in a very significant way.
Siempre que se escribe una historia normalmente se refieren a ancianos, niños felices o sobre sí mismos, pero esta historia es un poco distinta a pesar de que en efecto se trata de un niño. pero no cualquier niño, el personaje que están a punto de conocer es lo que podríamos definir como un ser de otro mundo. Jared nació en una familia que pronto sería victima de la fatalidad y es que con apenas 5 años Jared perdió a su madre producto de una extraña enfermedad que la consumió hasta llevarla al sepulcro; lo que nadie se imaginaba ni siquiera steven padre de Jared es que ese hecho fatídico marcaría a su pequeño para siempre de una manera muy significativa
Death is only the beginning of a new existence and we are all passengers in this world; once we have accomplished our mission on earth we must leave. With these words Steven has coped with the death of his wife and has tried to make Jared, who is now 8 years old, understand and move on, but for his son it has not been so easy to cope and even less to understand the premature loss of his mother, especially since his father wanted to rebuild his life with a woman that even though Steven tries to make Jared accept and see her as a new mother, he totally refuses, The couple is almost a month into a formal relationship and to the boy's chagrin his father has brought his new partner to live with them and sleep in the room that belonged to his former wife. Jared's annoyance at having to share his father's affection with someone totally foreign to him is evident and in a fit of anger, steven reacts in an abrupt manner by slapping Jared's face, which makes him start to feel anger towards his father's wife.
La muerte es solo el inicio para una nueva existencia y todos somos pasajeros en este mundo; una vez cumplida nuestra misión en la tierra debemos partir. Con esas palabras steven ha sobrellevado la muerte de su esposa y ha tratado de que Jared quien ahora tiene 8 años entienda y también termine de seguir adelante, pero para su hijo no ha sido tan fácil de sobrellevar y menos de entender la perdida prematura de su madre y mas desde el momento que su padre quiso rehacer su vida al lado de una mujer que por mas que su steven trate de que Jared acepte y vea como una nueva madre, este se niega totalmente, la pareja tiene casi un mes de haber iniciado una relación formal y para disgusto del niño su padre ha llevado a su nueva pareja para que viva junto con ellos y duerma en la habitación que pertenecía a su antigua esposa. La molestia de Jared por tener que compartir con alguien totalmente extraña para él el cariño de su padre es evidente y en un arranque de ira lo manifiesta, steven reacciona de manera brusca dandole una bofetada a Jared lo que hace que este comience a sentir rabia por la esposa de su padre
It has been six months since Jared expressed his discomfort with the presence of his father's wife in the house and since then things have not improved much, the boy has become introverted and spends more time than usual locked in his room, at school things are not so different; Jared, who since he started attending classes had stood out for being participative and obtaining excellent grades, is now withdrawn and hardly participates in classes, which has caused his grades to drop alarmingly. What Jared does make the news is the fights, which is why his father has had to go several times to the school administration to hear the complaints of the principal and teachers against his son. With the promise that everything will get better, Steven has let time go by without seeing the results, when things were not looking good for Jared and his father, one day Eleonor, Steven's wife, announces to the family at the dinner table that she is pregnant; as expected Steven jumped with joy, however Jared's reaction was not as expected and when asked what he thought he got up from the table and ran to his room where he locked himself up to cry. The arrival of a new member to the family meant adjusting the household budget, so Steven got a full time job in another city and soon had to leave his little Jared in the care of Eleonor, his wife, and from that moment on a series of events began to take place that would give an unexpected turn to this story.
Han pasado seis meses desde que Jared manifestó su malestar por la presencia de la esposa de su padre en la casa y desde entonces las cosas no han mejorado mucho, el niño se ha vuelto introvertido y pasa mas tiempo de lo normal encerrado en su habitación, en la escuela las cosas no son tan diferentes; Jared quien desde que comenzó a asistir a clases había destacado por ser participativo y obtener excelentes calificaciones es ahora retraído y casi no participa en clases lo que ha devenido que sus notas decayeran de manera alarmante, para lo que si es noticia Jared es para las peleas, razón por la cual su padre ha tenido que asistir varias veces a la dirección de la escuela para escuchar las quejas de la directora y de los maestros en contra de su hijo. Con la promesa de que todo ira mejorando Steven ha dejado pasar el tiempo sin verse los resultados, cuando las cosas no pintaban que podrían mejorar para Jared y su padre, un día Eleonor esposa de Steven anuncia a la familia en la mesa mientras cenaban que está embarazada; como era de esperarse Steven saltó de la alegría, sin embargo la reacción de Jared no fue la esperada y al ser consultado sobre que pensaba se levantó de la mesa y salió corriendo a su habitación donde se encerró a llorar. La venida de un nuevo miembro a la familia supone ajustar el presupuesto en la casa por lo que Steven consiguió in empleo de tiempo completo en otra ciudad y pronto tuvo que marcharse dejando a su pequeño Jared al cuidado de Eleonor su esposa y desde ese mismo momento se comenzaron a suscitar una serie de eventos que le darán un giro inesperado a esta historia
Steven said goodbye to his son on Monday morning because his trip lasts 5 hours by road and before leaving he wanted to stop by his little boy's room, this one with tears in his eyes and begging his father to take him with him, he hugged his father who promised to come back for the weekend and go fishing by themselves, He then kissed his wife passionately goodbye and asked her to take good care of little Jared and the child she was carrying in her womb, Eleonor promised him that she would do everything possible to keep things in order until his return and he left. Jared watched from his bedroom window as his father's car drove away and when he lost sight of it he lay down on his bed. It is seven o'clock at night and Jared has been locked up all day in his room, he is absorbed in his thoughts when a knock on his door brings him back to reality, Eleonor tells him that dinner is ready, unlike other times his stepmother's voice that was always rough speaks to him with tenderness, things that Jared notices but he accepts in a good way and immediately leaves ready to have dinner, Jared is delighted with Eleonor's change of attitude and when he finishes eating he thanks her and goes upstairs to his room.
Steven se despidió de su hijo el lunes en la mañana debido a que su viaje dura 5 horas en carretera y antes de irse quiso pasar por la habitación de su pequeño, este con lagrimas en los ojos y rogadole a su padre que lo llevara con el abrazó a su padre quien prometió regresar para el fin de semana e ir ellos dos solos a pescar, acto seguido se despidió de su esposa con con apasionado beso y le pidió cuidar muy bien del pequeño Jared y del hijo que ahora lleva en su vientre, Eleonor le prometió que haría todo lo posible para mantener las cosas en orden hasta su regreso y este se marchó. Jared observó desde la ventana de su habitación como el carro de su padre se alejaba y cuando lo perdió de vista se acostó en su cama. Son las siete de la noche y Jared ha estado encerrado todo el día en su habitación, está absorto en sus pensamientos cuando un golpe en su puerta lo regresa a la realidad, Eleonor le avisa que la cena está lista, a diferencia de otras veces la voz de su madrastra que siempre era áspera le habla con ternura cosas que advierte Jared pero este acepta de buena manera y enseguida sale dispuesto a cenar, en la cena todo en silencio pero la mirada de Eleonor hacia Jared es distinta ahora lo ve de manera amorosa al igual que cuando le habla, Jared está encantado con el cambio de actitud de Eleonor y al terminar de comer le agradece y sube a su habitación
