Una nueva semana, nuevo retos musicales por afrontar, nuevas conexiones que hacer, y repasar nuestros límites el objetivo, para cada día ser mejor, no solo en nuestra pasion si no también en todos los aspectos de la vida.

El día de hoy traigo mi participación en la ronda número uno de Hive Music Festival, me acordé de una canción que me gusta mucho, está se llama "A mis Hermanos" , un tema con una melodía bastante bonita, yo sabia como tocarla en el cuatro venezolano pero no me habia aprendido la cancion en la mandolina, asi que decidi unir los dos en una version, en un ritmo que me encanta el merengue Venezolano.

El Merengue Venezolano es un género musical que apareció en Venezuela a principios de siglo XX, se hizo popular primeramente en Caracas, la capital de Venezuela. Luego este género musical se extendió por otras regiones del país y se hizo popular también en algunos otros países del Caribe.

Está composición "A mis hermanos" fue elaborada por Aquiles Baez, era un guitarrista muy conocido en mi País Venezuela, era muy versátil y además de eso tenía composiciones increíbles, lamentablemente hace poco en septiembre del 2022 falleció durante una Gira por Europa.

Pero su legado queda presente, en el vídeo podrán observarme tocando la canción con la mandolina, sobre una base creada por mí con el instrumento cuatro, hay un juego al principio y en algunas partes de la canción de algunas escalas y notas, donde trato de hacer segunda voz con la mandolina y complementar la canción, además en la parte media realizó una improvisacion y termino con una escala un poco rápida también improvisada en el momento.

Today I bring my participation in round number one of Hive Music Festival, I remembered a song that I like a lot, it's called "A mis Hermanos", a song with a very nice melody. A song with a very nice melody, I knew how to play it on the Venezuelan cuatro but I had not learned the song on the mandolin, so I decided to unite the two in one version, in a rhythm that I love the Venezuelan merengue.

Venezuelan Merengue is a musical genre that appeared in Venezuela at the beginning of the 20th century, it first became popular in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. Later this musical genre spread to other regions of the country and became popular also in some other Caribbean countries.

This composition "A mis hermanos" was elaborated by Aquiles Baez, he was a very well known guitarist in my country Venezuela, he was very versatile and besides that he had incredible compositions, unfortunately he passed away recently in September 2022 during a tour in Europe.

But his legacy remains present, in the video you can see me playing the song with the mandolin, on a base created by me with the instrument four, there is a game at the beginning and in some parts of the song of some scales and notes, where I try to do second voice with the mandolin and complement the song, also in the middle part made an improvisation and end with a scale a little fast also improvised at the time.
