Por estos lados seguimos con la decoraciones navideñas hechas en casita, y en esta oportunidad les comparto un mini cojín que hice para decorar el arbolito de navidad, y es que este año quise incorporar algunas decoraciones un poco más grandes al arbolito, ya que me he dado cuenta que están en tendencia hace un buen tiempo, y como mi árbol de navidad es bastante grande me animé a utilizar algunas.

Hello, creative folks at Hive! Over here, we're continuing with our homemade Christmas decorations, and this time I'm sharing a mini cushion I made to decorate the Christmas tree. This year, I wanted to add some slightly larger decorations to the tree, as I've noticed they've been on trend for quite some time, and since my Christmas tree is quite large, I decided to go for it.

Este pequeño cojín es bastante versátil, ya que lo pueden adaptar fácilmente a su decoración y es muy sencillo de realizar, además que se ve realmente "cute", y como pueden darse cuenta va perfecto con mis decoraciones navideñas de este año, ya que incorpora el fieltro, el estambre y los tonos rojos y blancos, y resalta bastante en el arbolito de navidad sin resultar exagerado. This little cushion is quite versatile, as you can easily adapt it to your decor and it's very simple to make. Plus, it looks really cute, and as you can see, it goes perfectly with my Christmas decorations this year, as it incorporates felt, yarn, and red and white tones, and it really stands out on the Christmas tree without being over the top. Paso a paso/ step by step

Lo primero que haremos será recortar nuestro fieltro del tamaño deseado, en mi caso las medidas son 30x40, pero ustedes lo adptaran al tamaño en que necesiten su cojín, y una vez tengamos la pieza lista doblamos a la mitad y cosemos por los lados con el hilo rojo, tal como pueden ver en la imagen. Damos vuelta y ya tenemos lista la forma de nuestro cojin.

The first thing we will do is cut our felt to the desired size. In my case, the measurements are 30x40, but you can adapt it to the size you need for your cushion. Once we have the piece ready, we fold it in half and sew the sides with red thread, as you can see in the image. We turn it inside out, and the shape of our cushion is ready.

El siguiente paso es comenzar a incorporar las decoraciones, y en mi caso quise crear un pequeño marco blanco que decidí hacer con una cadeneta de estambre tejida a ganchillo, y una vez lista la fijé con silicón caliente. Con respecto a este marco, no necesariamente debe ser tejido, ya que lo pueden hacer con un cordón, alguna cinta e incluso con cheniles o limpia pipas, todo está en su creatividad y por supuesto su gusto.

The next step is to start adding decorations. In my case, I wanted to create a small white frame, which I decided to make with a crocheted yarn chain. Once it was ready, I secured it with hot glue. This frame does not necessarily have to be crocheted; you can make it with string, ribbon, or even pipe cleaners. It all depends on your creativity and, of course, your taste.

Una vez estuvo listo el marco ya tenía claro que quería una frase corta tipo "Merry X-mas, Joy o Ho Ho Ho", y como pueden ver me decidí por la contagiosa risa de Santa que también realicé con cadenetas de estambre, y en la imagen pueden ver cómo armé cada letra, que finalmente fijé con silicón caliente, teniendo mucho cuidado de colocar justo la cantidad necesaria para no dañar el fieltro, ya que al caer alguna porción de silicón fuera de lugar lo dañaría y sabemos que no se puede retirar.

Once the frame was ready, I knew I wanted a short phrase like "Merry X-mas, Joy, or Ho Ho Ho," and as you can see, I decided on Santa's infectious laugh, which I also made with yarn chains. In the image, you can see how I assembled each letter, which I finally secured with hot glue, taking great care to use just the right amount so as not to damage the felt, since if any glue fell out of place, it would damage it, and we know that it cannot be removed.

Una vez fijadas las letras me pareció que le faltaba algo y se me ocurrió que podía bordarle algunos detallitos con hilo blanco, como por ejemplo copos de nieve, estrellitas, etc. Y en este punto amigos, les comento que lo ideal es que ya tengan el diseño decidido antes de coser el cojin (no sean como yo), ya que fue bastante complicado hacer los detalles bordados con el cojin ya cocido, pero con algo de paciencia se pudo, aunque realmente hubiese sufrido menos si hubiese agregado todos los detalles y después hubiese cosido.

Once the letters were attached, I felt that something was missing, and it occurred to me that I could embroider some small details with white thread, such as snowflakes, stars, etc. And at this point, friends, I should mention that it's best to have the design decided before sewing the cushion (don't be like me), as it was quite complicated to do the embroidered details with the cushion already sewn, but with a little patience I managed it, although it would have been easier if I had added all the details and then sewn it.

Los detalles bordados no quedaron súper prolijos porque en principio no sé bordar como tal, pero se hizo el intento, y quedé bastante conforme con el resultado, y ya en este punto debía introducir el relleno en el cojín y cuando estuvo casi lleno decidí comenzar a cerrar, y en este caso lo hice con el silicón caliente, dejando solo una pequeña abertura para incorporar el relleno restante y finalmente cerrar.

The embroidered details didn't turn out super neat because I don't know how to embroider as such, but I gave it a try, and I was quite happy with the result. At this point, I had to insert the filling into the cushion, and when it was almost full, I decided to start closing it. In this case, I did it with hot silicone, leaving only a small opening to add the remaining filling and finally close it.

Como pueden ver es un trabajo bastante sencillo de realizar, de hecho se pueden ahorrar el paso de las costuras laterales usando la pistola de silicón, pero la verdad es que me gusta coser, así que lo hice de esa manera, y para la parte superior como podía ser un poco más tediosa sí decidí utilizar el silicón. Pero como les dije desde el principio, esta es una decoración bastante versátil que les permite usar toda su creatividad, tanto para la realización como para su decoración. ¡Así que manos a la obra!

As you can see, it's a fairly simple job to do. In fact, you can skip the side seams by using a silicone gun, but the truth is that I like sewing, so I did it that way, and for the top part, which could be a little more tedious, I did decide to use silicone. But as I said from the beginning, this is a very versatile decoration that allows you to use all your creativity, both in making it and decorating it. So let's get to work!
