Yesterday was my yearly "come out of retirement" DJ gig at Tam 'o Shanter Park in Kelso, Washington, USA. Every summer, the JH Kelly company has a massive employee picnic in the park, and I usually sit for six or seven hours and play tunes. (It's not that different from what I do at home, all the time, except more people can hear what I'm playing.) It's not a bad gig by any means. Most folks are appreciative and friendly, and since I've been playing music for people since the late 1980s, I have a pretty good idea what folks will enjoy hearing. (Maybe not the young folks, but they don't get a vote, so... Ha!)
Anyway, that's why I didn't post nothin' yesterday. I was busy being in the real world... (I don't let that happen too often...)

And thus, we come back to Tuesday. I've been mostly on the road over the last couple of days. There's family misfortune upon us. (Time is a harsh mistress.) I've been reading a lot, as well, and just trying to keep moving. That's how we do... Keep on keepin' on!
