"Sliding" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

sliding.png

[Photograph of a coffee shop parking lot covered in ice and snow...with a digital lizard creature doing a bit of ice-sliding!] My wife and I sat in line at a coffee shop for a LOOOONG time a few days ago when there was a bunch of snow on the ground (for our particular radioactive valley---we don't get much snow), and then we realized (as other cars peeled off and left) that the shop was closed! Ha!!! It's okay. I had time to make a little digital drawing of the imaginary lizard I spotted ice-skating around the frozen parking lot... ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

“Map of Emotional States” by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

map of emotional states.png

[Oil pastel on paper with minor digital embellishments.] To circumnavigate the emotional globe, one needs a map. This is a (rough but) Note: I drifted off before finishing this description, I guess! Now it’s kind of mysterious, right??

“Coffee Table Eye” by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

[Googly eye and cardboard on coffee table with astral mood and weird vibes.] The medium is the massage. And eyez are funny. ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

"Spin Cycle of Childhood Dreams" by RFY (HF) & FEH (TT)

[Crayon and felt pen on printed page with digital embellishments, color, and moshing. Animated with a free app on my phone.] The granddaughter, Felicity, and I scribbled all over a printed page of "magic paper." After we were done coloring, we take a photo, ran that through the Mosh machine to get a number of different "versions" of the image, then picked our favorite renditions and animated them with a free gif making program on my phone. Good stuff!!! ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool) & Felicity Echo Hanson (Toddler Terror)

"Visions of Things" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

[Ink on paper and mixed media collage with digital embellishments and moshing.] Actual video footage of my third eye (loose and rolling across a coffee table.) (This was not comfortable but completely worth it for the final piece!) ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

"Promote It" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

promote it.png

[Digital drawing created with a free app on my phone.] I am getting pretty sick of the spammy / robo-messages on my Tweeterz account whenever I post a newly tokenized NFT. I will not pay to promote my artwork, not just because it's undoubtedly a scam but also because I want to SHARE my artwork through a more rhizomatic process and keep the integrity of the work as intact as I can (considering I am SELLING artwork. Of course, I sell for next to nothing, most of the time, and I'm much more excited by the prospect of my creations LIVING on the various blockchains I've shared them to for a long, LOOOOOONG time than I am in making a quick buck!) So, NO, I'm not going to promote my pieces on your scammy account. Leave me alone... ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

"Lifted" by Richard F. Yates (HF)

lifted.png

[Felt pen, paint pen, metallic marker, and brush pen on reclaimed cardboard with digital embellishments and color.] I don't know what's happening in this piece. I was obviously in some kind of trance while I drew it. Maybe there are secret cosmic messages in this work that are meant for YOU. Maybe... ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

That’s it for now! I’ll keep working on more stuff, soon! (I also have some commissioned physical paintings that I need to get started on! Hopefully, I get going on those this weekend!)

Later!!!
