I received this funtastic piece from a good friend, Mr. O., a couple of days ago! Finally got the opportunity to share this piece with all you happy peoples... (You ARE happy, right? You don't need another dose of JUICE??? Good...) Here is Mr. O.'s lovely poesie!

"Temptations of the Flesh"

Whenever red-headed Herb went to the market,
he had a little tiff.
It was always a matter of when Carnie would annoy him,
never a question of if.

You see, Carnie ran a meat counter,
during Jurassic times.
But Herb was not a carnivore,
as I explain in this rhyme.

Still Carnie would repeat his shtick,
and he would do his best,
to tempt Herb with a stegosaurus steak,
or a pterodactyl breast.

Herb would always reply to him,
in a condescending way,
“Oh, uncivilized Carnie,
I am too refined for your burger or filet.”

But then Herb passed by one day,
and Carnie didn’t speak,
so Herb asked, “Where is the sales pitch?
Your skills are getting weak.”
“Okay,” said Carnie,
“Close your eyes and stand right there.
I’ll show you choice meat -
allow me to prepare.”

After the sound of butchers’ paper,
Herb opened his eyes.
What was on top of the paper,
left Herb quite surprised.

It actually looked delicious,
and Herb bought ten pounds.
Carnie placed the package in his arms,
and at home Herb unwrapped the mound.

Hungry Herb took a knife,
and jabbed it halfway in.
The screams and profanities, oh the profanities,
just to repeat would be a sin.

Herb couldn’t believe
that he tried to carve his own tail.
What’s worse is that Carnie charged him regular price –
he wasn’t even on sale.

Lesson: Prehistoric herbivores probably drove Priuses and judged others for not doing the same. The irony is that I have to pay $5 a gallon for a tank of Herb now in my gas-guzzling Explorer. I need a Prius.
