My village, its natural beauty, my roots.

Hello community, today I want to show you something that really touches my heart to talk about my land, one of the most beautiful lands in Ribatejo, this region located in the Santarém area of ​​my country Portugal.

We have a lot of natural beauty and we are lucky to be on the bank of one of the largest rivers in the world, the Tagus River, which is born in Spain and flows into Portugal.

Olá comunidade, hoje quero mostrar-lhe algo que realmente me comove ao falar da minha terra, uma das mais belas terras do Ribatejo, esta região situada na zona de Santarém do meu país Portugal.

Temos muitas belezas naturais e temos a sorte de estar às margens de um dos maiores rios do mundo, o rio Tejo, que nasce em Espanha e desagua em Portugal.

In my country we are few people around 400 inhabitants over time the population has become older and the birth rate has decreased.

Along the banks of the Tagus River rises this village of mine Arripiado on the other side of the Tagus River on another slope rises the also beautiful village of Tancos.

In my village there is also a castle called Castelo de Almouro and it served for many centuries as guardian of this population, it is curious that it is the only castle in Portugal surrounded by water, and many people visit it to enjoy its greatness.

As it couldn't stop being my village by the river, it's a fishing village alias it was more like I said the younger people were leaving and now there are few people left, many of them just come to spend a few days or weekends.
There are two lakes where fishing was used and it was a convivial activity mainly on weekdays and weekends, very important for our population, but unfortunately the river was polluted and for a long time we couldn't fish now, gradually we can return This activity is very important for our small community in Arripiado.

Como não podia deixar de ser a minha vila à beira do rio, é um pseudónimo de vila de pescadores, era mais como se eu dissesse que os mais jovens iam indo embora e agora faltam poucas pessoas, muitas delas só vêm passar uns dias ou fins de semana.
Existem dois lagos onde se praticava a pesca e era uma atividade de convívio principalmente nos dias de semana e fins de semana, muito importante para a nossa população, mas infelizmente o rio estava poluído e por muito tempo não podíamos pescar agora, aos poucos podemos voltar. é muito importante para a nossa pequena comunidade do Arripiado.
