The first beauty pageant is found in the bible even if it seems strange to you and you believe that the bible is not a book updated to the present times in it we find all the origin of things and it will always be updated to the present cultures because everything that has happened at the social, technological political level has originated from the bible
In this sense we find the description in the following verses of the first beauty contest that originated in the world which was held when King Ausero was challenged by Queen Vashti, and decided to call a "contest" to choose his new opponent.
Esther 2:2-4
Then the advisers told the king:—His Majesty must appoint assistants in all the provinces of the country, so that they look for beautiful and unmarried young women. Those girls should be taken to the women's house, in her palace. There they will be under the care of Hegai, his trusted man in charge of the women, so that he can give them a beauty treatment. Then her Majesty will choose the girl she likes best, and she will make her queen instead of Vashti. This pleased the king, and so it was done.

Ester, who was not only physically beautiful but had grace and kindness above all the other contestants due to the internal beauty that she dissipated, fell in love with the king, because she did not even need makeup like the others to look beautiful, her beauty obviously depended so much of the physical as of the spiritual for that reason he captured the look at first sight of the king where several applicants paraded
"The Book of Esther reveals her secret by mentioning that the king loved her more than any other woman because "she had grace and goodness above all others". Apparently it was not only her physical beauty but her "grace and her goodness” which assured him victory.
Currently, physical beauty plays an essential role in beauty pageants, but in the Bible we find that to be a queen, not only physical beauty is needed, but also other qualities such as those of this beautiful woman named Ester
Ester, as her name indicates, was a charm and her way of acting showed her empathy in every place she stepped on, that's why she knew she was a queen because her inner beauty could be internalized in every way, her nobility, her talents, her morals, her integrity. and leadership defined her as a queen from God
Esther was not a frivolous, calculating or ostentatious woman, despite her beauty and beauty, which is why the king falls in love with her and takes her as his wife so that she can run his palace with him.

I love the story of Esther as it portrays many things we ought to have in us. Esther got all qualities from physical to the spiritual and she found favor in the eyes of the King through God.
