What Is SPLTD?

SPLT (Splinterlands Tower Defense) is an upcoming game brought to you by the team behind Splinterlands. This new game is a Tower Defense game that will utilize Splinterland cards and other Splinterland assets. This is great news for the Splinterlands community as not only do we get a new game but we also get more utility for our already existing card sets. The games booster pack sale is currently (09/20/2022) in presale mode which isn't expected to last long as it ends once 250,000 booster packs sell. As of right now there is only 44,000 booster packs left for sale until presale ends. I suspect in the upcoming hours (if it even takes that long) those packs will be sold. In fact by the time you stumble on and read this post there is a good chance presale has ended.

The general sale for SPLTD will begin as soon as the pre-sale ends and will have 1,750,000 packs available for purchase. The general sale packs will cost $8/pack and, optionally, a VOUCHER can be used to reduce the cost by $3/pack. Here We Go!

Splinterlands did it again. They somehow got me to invest (for me) a large amount of funds in a game. If my peers knew how much I spent on a "card game" they would gaze at me with a puzzled look on their face. If I told them the current and all time high values of some of these cards (NFT's) they would turn that puzzled look into a look of disbelief while assuming I'm some sort of smuck. If I told them how much I was given for free (SPS Airdrop, Airdropped NFT's, Ect.) they would simply then call bullshit on my claims. Guess what, None of that matters because as the saying goes; you can lead a horse to water but you can't force them to drink.

Alpha Packs

Did you miss out on Splinterlands Alpha packs the first time around? Their original price was just $2 USD and today they are selling on Hive Dex's for $135 USD. Now that type of ROI might not happen this time around but I will tell you this; Splinterlands assets have historically went up in value. Even in today's downward swing Splinterland assets are still way up from their original price points. Ex. SPS is at over $0.07 cents today. Sure that is a far cry from its all time high but its still over 3-4X its original $0.02 price. So I don't know about yous but I'm making sure I get my hands on at least some of this new games Alpha Packs. I tallied all my DEC together and with a small purchase of DEC from Hive-Engine I managed to take part in the 500+ 75 Bonus pack deal and I'll likely purchase more at some point before General Sale ends.
