What Is SPS?
SPS is the governance token for Splinterlands.
What Is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is an online blockchain game built on the Hive Network. It utilizes NFT's for game play. These NFT's and other in game assets are tradable and have real monetary value. Click here to play or to invest in Splinterlands today.
How To Attain SPS?
There is multiple ways to attain SPS. One way is to participate in a year long airdrop that is taking place. This airdrop is currently on day 47/365 so there is still plenty of time to get started. All one needs to do is hold Splinterlands assets and you will be included in the daily airdrop. Such assests are listed below.
SPS can also be bought directly from exchanges such as Hive-Engine. As shown below in the screenshot the current buy is 0.32411 and the current sell is 0.32416 when traded against HIVE. The last sell order was valued at $0.241 USD.
A third option to earn SPS is by staking SPS. The Splinterlands game has an in game wallet for SPS that will allow you to stake it. Currently the APR is at a very nice return rate of 118%. This APR will drop as more SPS holders stake. The reverse is also true, if enough unstake APR will increase.
SPS can also be earned in tournament play. There's multiple Splinterland tournaments being played daily that have varying amounts of SPS. Many of these tournaments pay out 64+ spots or more. So brush up on your Splinterlands and get to battling and you'll have a chance to earn SPS.

I believe that SPS token will be a token with a lot of future and the central axis of the game as it is the governance token. It can be something truly great.

I am staking SPS for the Chaos Legion presale and I also think that SPS true value is over $0.5 so under that price I am comfortable with buying it.
Nice, what brings you to the conclusion that SPS true value is $0.50 USD. If the price dips below $0.20 I'm thinking about jumping in with my liquid hive.

Good briefing sir. Ive been piling more dough into SPS past few days. Interesting how the apr was about 132 and now 117, a slow but steady decline. I didnt know its influenced by # of people staking. I suppose its a good thing that more people are staking, but i like that ridiculous percentage lol.
Gimme those shards!
I suspect once the presale for Chaos Legion comes out we are going to see even more staking. Causing the APR to drop a little faster then usual. We should start a petition, everyone unstake so Captainquak22 and Rentmoney can earn max APR.

Hahaha. Interesting times man. I plan on chillin on my pile anyway. I just wonder how much potential hype the game can get, and if the growth continues over next couple years. Looking forward to grabbing some packs though.

Buying the plot of land has really helped as it boosted my my daily SPS drop, currently getting between 17-20 per day and I've been staking as they coming.
Nice, with the unstake process being just 4 weeks and the APR so high, staking is a wise choice.

Staking all the SPS I can get my hands on for now. I may even pick up some of the really cheap SPS on Hive-Engine if it stays this low.
The price is tempting. If it drops below $0.20 Its going to be very difficult for me not to use my 2000 liquid Hive to purchase some.

I was thinking about spending it on Chaos Legion. I'll have to see how things go with the vouchers and decide what makes most sense at the time. There's a good chance that there's going to be a price increase. My best guess would be $3-$5 a booster.
Yeah, Aggy sounded like he was almost guaranteeing a price increase in the AMA. My guess is they are going to price them at $2.50 since that would be a 25% increase. Which is a pretty big increase and Aggy kept saying it would be a small increase.
It would be nice if presale seen the price at $2.00 and then the price hike after. I suspect allot of positive things would come of that if it were to come to fruitation.

My plan is stake stake stake ow yes almost forgot i stake. Let's hope we eventually gonna see the 1 dollar mark. Guess there.will be many sell orders at 1 dollar I not gonna sell as long as the game doing well. That's one thing for sure.
