Its Official: Five Years On The Hive Chain

Checking my recent replies I seen I have been sent a notification from @hivebuzz letting me know I been on the HIVE Blockchain for Five Years. How significant is Five years?? Well I did some digging and asked the almighty google the very simple question, How long does the average relationship last. Before I give you the answer (without looking) do you have any guesses? Go ahead and pick a time frame. Got one, alright lets see the answer. If the all knowing google is telling the truth the average relationship last 2-5 years. So if you are on HIVE longer then 2-5 years congrats you have been on this Blockchain longer than most modern day relationships last. While on that same thought process I also asked google what year divorce is most common and there were two different numbers. Between years 1-2 and years 5-8 are reported to be the most riskiest times for separation for those who have tied the knot.

Self-Reflection:

I believe self reflection is important in life and getting that notification has me doing a little of it. How productive has my last Five Years on HIVE been? Did I create a successful Blog? First we have to define success. There is the obvious and most sought after definition which is the financial aspect. For me that would mean I could live off my blog earnings, since I can't the answer to that would be no I haven't created a successful financial blog. The only asterisk I see to this is blogging as a hobby. If that is what one set out to do any financial gain is a success (most hobbies cost money not make it). When I started blogging on HIVE I decided the success I was most likely to attain would be an active blog. I do feel as I have accomplished that. Self-fulfillment; does your blog bring you joy, happiness or any other type of self fulfillment if so congrats you are running a successful blog. I feel as I have that one checked off as well. I have gained knowledge and new skill-sets while interacting with some interesting HIVENS. If that isn't success than I don't know what is. To all my followers and readers; thanks for the support over the last five years and here is to another five+ Years on the Hive Blockchain.

Just When I Thought I Was Out, They Pulled Me Back In

I went MIA two or three times as well.
My longest break was somewhere around a year.
