Things that helping me to change my life positively.

Life changes in so many ways. Sometimes, when I look back I see a totally different version of me. I wouldn't say, I regret it but sure, I wish I could be this one from the beginning. But again, our previous self teaches us and builds us into what we are not.

This week's question was clear, 'what actions?'

There are surely many things, for me, for you, for every one of us. But it always starts with a single action or thought and then the rest happens.

For me, it was taking the decision to walk against the flow.

Being an outsider by choice is tough. Especially when I was part of the flow. I never thought deeply about what I'm doing in life and where my life is going. I was doing the same thing, millions do. Study>work>career>family. There's nothing bad in this. But I had no depth on this process. It was like, I'm floating in the wind. There was no meaning, no understanding, nothing.

After becoming a mom, it changes the way I used to think about life. My perspective, life goals everything changed. And I saw, something need to change. There must be some change to build a better version of me. I said to myself, enough.

Then the second phase began.

I started to be more grateful, more religious, spiritual, mindful, closer to life so I can understand, can feel the meaning of life, and add value to what I'm doing. I step back a little from materialistic things. Less shopping, basic lifestyle, more charity, donation; you name it.

It was not easy. My family was not supporting me when I leave my career and choose to be a work-from-home person. They thought all my degrees and certificates are going to be useless. Now, when I started a new career path, doing good, became a lot different positively; I receive more appreciation than before for everything.

It was not like 'one action' but a process that helped me change myself. I would say, a total lifestyle change has helped me to reach here. I wouldn't claim, I'm what I wanted to be but I'm on my way and it feels good.
