My son gifted me this beautiful flower!

This is the most precious gift I ever got from someone else. My son gifted me this flower. This is nothing much, a random flower from the street. But the story behind it put happy tears in my eyes.

My son is 4.7 months now. He usually cycles on the street in front of our house. As it's a residential area, there's no traffic on this street so it's completely safe. It's a rule for him to be in the distance so I can see him.

Anyway, there's a building at the end of the road, near the main road. It got a huge bougainvillea plant, they were cutting some of the branches down because it became too bushy.

My son saw the branches full of flowers were lying on the street. He didn't wait but cycled there to grab some for me.

I had no idea he was going near the main road because of that reason. I was called by his name as it would be dangerous, there was traffic. But when I saw him picking some flowers from the cut-down branches I knew what he was up to. This simple thing made me so happy.

He usually picks flowers from our balcony garden and gifts me them randomly. But today what he did made me speechless.

Yes, I taught him to gift flowers because my husband usually doesn't do that, not even on valentine's day. He is not that romantic. No need to say, he is caring and loving but giving flowers is not his thing. So I taught this to my son. Claver idea, no?

My heart became full of joy, my eyes were full of happy tears. I kept the flower in a safe place, inside one of my notebooks. One day I will remind my son of this story.

Just yesterday I was saying, how life sometimes feels miserable. On the other hand, this is also true that life comes with many surprises. We need to learn how to be happy with all the small things happening around us.

Have a good day, everyone.

Kids change every day. That's why we need to keep the memories saved. 😁

Wow! It is so sweet of your son to do it. At his young age he already knows how to give someone a present.
