Ladies, don't forget to treat youself.

One of my friends once told me, 'take self-care as a ritual, you wouldn't miss it anymore.'

I believe that's the best way to include ourselves as a priority in our life. I mean, why shouldn't we? The amount of dedication every woman gave to their family is enormous. Even if they don't have family responsibilities, they still deserve to prioritize themselves. Because, we have a tendency to do the best for others but when it comes to us, we don't care at all or do less.

I also do the same, my mom did the same. Maybe I have seen most of the women do the same, that's why we also think it's normal.

I never take the best meal, the best piece of meat on my plate. But that doesn't mean, I always have to compromise when it comes to self-care. I wouldn't say, I do much for myself but yes, I try to treat myself often; sometimes with food, sometimes me-time, some gifts. It feels so good.

If you never buy yourself any flowers, maybe it's time. Just buy one rose or any flower you like and you will feel a lot different. I can guarantee you. It gives a feeling of praising ourselves, rewarding ourselves for whatever we are doing. And it makes us feel precious, valued.

It will never be like others will treat you best. People forget & they have their own priorities. So don't wait for others to treat you and most importantly, don't give up that others are not treating you well. I mean, you are still alive, you can take that responsibility.

Go shopping, in the park, to your friends, take a warm bath, listen to music, take a break, go to the spa, a cup of good coffee...Whatever you can afford, you like and available to you. You don't have to be fancy. Just treat yourself often and it will make you feel valued.

I was the one who used to compromise with self-care. I even used to skip combing my hair for consecutive days. I felt worse and I took the action to change it.

If I can, you can do it too.

I wish you all the best.

....we have a tendency to do the best for others but when it comes to us, we don't care at all or do less.

You captured it perfectly in these words. I saw my mom do it again and again —preference to her family and sometimes others above herself. And I kind of started to do the same.

Later on, I realized the importance of self care. I mean if we don't treat ourselves to some care and leisure, when will we ever do so?

Women have the innate tenacity to give their all but a little treat and self care is very okay! Thanks for this inspiring piece. 😊

As you said, my mom also do the same. I used to get angryaboutit. But now, I also do the same. We women are same.
Good that you changed yourself in a positive way.

Your thoughts are similar to mine. That's why I once had a similar post like this "Ladies! Let live a worthwhile life!". No one loves you more than yourself. Moreover, if you won't know how to love yourself, you won't know how to love others completely. great post!

That's so true. When we comes first, every other thing also seems meaningful.
Thanks for reaching out.

True. I may have slacked off because i failed to see the necessity of it. At times i could go weeks without bothering about my hair or months without buying just one pair of jeans...and you're right when you said it makes you feel worse. But it'll all change. Thanks for sharing.

It makes us feel bad about everything, deep inside. That's why we need to take more care of us, before others.
Thanks for reading my words.

Hello. You are correct in that self care is extremely important. I had a chance to do just that last week when I took three day offline. I didn't realize beforehand how much I needed it.

Thanks for sharing.

That's great. Last year, I stayed out of social media for one month. And I'm fasting on Facebook. It's much needed.
Thanks for sharing 😊
