Embarking on a New Experience: Choosing Sanitary and Fittings for a Dream Home.

Stepping into the realm of construction, my aunt's home stands on the verge of completion. The walls are steadfast, the windows are gracefully grilled, and now it's time for the final touches – the selection of sanitary and fittings.

With a mission to turn a house into a home, we embarked on an exploration of a bustling sanitary and fittings shopping zone in Rangpur city - Bangladesh.

Let me share my experience.

The canvas of our exploration unfolded on the busy Rangpur Betpotti Road, where numerous shops lined up, each showcasing an array of sanitary and fittings. Armed with a list of essentials and a budget in mind, our journey began.

We choose the second one from the left.

The primary quest was for 16"*16" white marble printed tiles to grace the floors. We delved into the vast options, comparing patterns, quality, and prices until we found the perfect match that would set the foundation for the home's aesthetic.

Moving on, the bathroom tiles became the next chapter in our quest. Each piece had to align with the envisioned ambiance, and after meticulous scrutiny, we made our choice. Basin, sink, commode, and taps followed suit, turning the mundane act of choosing fixtures into a decisive step toward comfort and style.

A key accomplice in this venture was the wooden door. The entrance and bathroom doors were not merely functional elements; they were the gateways to privacy and security. After scouting through various designs and materials, we settled on the doors that would welcome guests warmly and guard intimate spaces.

We chose these doors for the main, indoor, and bathrooms.

Navigating through the labyrinth of choices, we realized the importance of having an expert on board. Our cousin, a civil engineer, lent his insights into the technicalities, ensuring that our selections aligned with both aesthetics and functionality. His connections with shop owners proved advantageous, securing us discounts that sweetened the deal.

This is how my aunt's house looks currently.

One striking aspect of this experience was the collaboration between generations. The older generation, with a vision of a cozy home, and the younger, equipped with market research and modern sensibilities, fused their perspectives to curate a space that would stand the test of time. It wasn't just about tiles and fixtures; it was about weaving dreams into the very fabric of bricks and mortar.

The process of choosing these elements was more than a transaction; it was an emotional investment. For my aunt, a widow, this venture held profound significance. It was a testament to her resilience, a symbol of crafting a haven despite life's challenges. The impending completion of her home became a beacon of hope, radiating joy and fulfillment.

In the bustling heart of Rangpur, amidst shops adorned with possibilities, we shaped the destiny of my aunt's home. The journey to choose sanitary and fittings was not just a mundane task; it was a celebration of dreams taking tangible form.

As we left the shopping zone, laden with choices and aspirations, the skeleton of a house began to morph into a place called home – a testament to perseverance, collaboration, and the enduring spirit of building dreams.

As I grew older, the hardware store started to look like a toy store to a kid more and more. I would go through each aisle looking for things that I might need; a screwdriver, a rope, cleaning materials. I guess it is a sign of growing up. The 'toys' just change.

I think you chose nice designs for your aunt's house. I usually prefer simple designs, since they are usually timeless. And the lack/minimal design wouldn't make it look bad once they start to fade out.

I feel your words in the core of my heart. lol. Because when I entered these stores, it was like exploring a new world. I feel the same in kitchen accessories shops as well.
Yes, simple design is the best. But everyone has their own preference.
Have a good day 🌿🌸
