Thematic Contest: Cloud Image

My entry to @bucipuci’s Thematic Challenge for CLOUDS. Check Here for more into on the challenge.

Hubby and I were out for a drive and I noticed these black clouds one late afternoon as the sun was starting to set.

This is the entry for the challenge.

I enjoy looking upward, letting my imagination soar and photographing the many images the clouds make.

A closer look into the darkness of this cloud. I circled what to me looks like the resemblance of a face looking down with bright eyes, a beard and Mohawk hairdo.

My first thought, “This entity is part of nature, an elemental of darkness.”

Nature always has something interesting to reveal if we take the time to look and listen.

The photo on my post cover is one of my favorites cloud images. It always remind me of the ‘cat in the hat’ also know as Dr. Seuss. I have used ‘the cat in the hat’ photo before so wouldn’t submit it for this challenge.

Mohawk definitely a feature style found in the clouds actually looks like a scary character. Cat in the hat such an epic capture Jo.

The shapes of the clouds often spark our imagination. No wonder "faces" are the most common we see :-).

Hi Jo,
I think I have seen the "cat in the hat" quite a while ago - looks so cool 😁
To me the cloud looks like a skull with mohawk hairstyle and bright eyes, as you say, but I see a wide open mouth with teeth like a hippo ... the teeth are the funny part 😄, but the rest is scary ☠️

I see the hippo teeth now Hannes.:). It seems the dark brings out these scary sylph elementals while the ones of the light are more angelic looking.

You are well into Frigg’s Day and I am just starting.

We missed a big snowstorm last night and only got a small dusting covering the ground. The storm went South and I think the States got quite a lot.

I’m glad you saw the hairstyle too. Amazing all the faces and forms seen in the clouds.

Yes, my Frigg's day is already dark again and I'm still at work until I go home tomorrow morning.
In the afternoon we want to visit my nephew who has had had his 30th birthday on December 12, so I won't be much online tomorrow I believe.

I like it when there's just such a thin layer of snow on the ground - this can sometimes look really good, but of course a Winter Wonderland is better 😁
