Redes sociales, beneficio o perdición? / Social networks, profit or loss? [ESP/ENG]

Hola amigos de hice! Hace algún tiempo que quería hacer este post y finalmente hoy vengo con él, espero sea muuuy de su agrado.

Hello friends of Hive! Some time ago I wanted to do this post and finally today I come with it, I hope you like it very much.

Sé que muchas veces los niños o adolescentes reciben "regaños" por pasar mucho tiempo en el celular o computador y estoy segura de que muchos de los que me leen han sido quienes se han quejado de esto; pero, ¿realmente es malo el uso de las redes sociales?. Les seré muy franca: si, en internet hay muchísimo contenido no apto para niños o incluso para adolescentes; también soy consciente de que no es sano permanecer tantas horas delante de una pantalla y hasta dejar de interactuar con el mundo real. Sin embargo, hay muchos recursos en internet que pueden ayudarnos.

I know that many times children or adolescents receive "scolding" for spending a lot of time on the cell phone or computer and I am sure that many of those who read me have been the ones who have complained about this; But, is the use of social networks really bad? I will be very frank with you: yes, there is a lot of content on the internet that is not suitable for children or even teenagers; I am also aware that it is not healthy to spend so many hours in front of a screen and even stop interacting with the real world. However, there are many resources on the internet that can help us.

Actualmente, gracias a la pandemia se ha hecho necesario el uso de plataformas como whatsapp, facebook y telegram para la comunicación entre profesores y alumnos (algunas veces con sus padres como intermediarios), incluso hay quienes hacen uso de youtube y hasta tiktok, por lo que hemos extendido el tiempo de utilización de estas plataformas. Pero esto no es todo, tenemos tantas cosas por hacer un descubrir tan solo con un click... podemos aprender otro idioma, una nueva habilidad, podemos realizar cursos certificados y hasta conseguir empleo.

Currently, thanks to the pandemic, it has become necessary to use platforms such as whatsapp, facebook and telegram for communication between teachers and students (sometimes with their parents as intermediaries), there are even those who use youtube and even tiktok, so that we have extended the time of use of these platforms. But this is not all, we have so many things to discover with just one click... we can learn another language, a new skill, we can take certified courses and even get a job.

Creo que es muy importante darle un buen uso a las redes sociales, no solo para mantener comunicación con los que están lejos, sino para ayudarnos a crecer, aprender y ser mejores cada día. También recuerdo e invito a los padres a no pasar por alto lo que hacen o ven sus hijos pequeños en estos sitios, tengamos siempre precaución y vigilancia sobre la inocencia de los más vulnerables.

I think it is very important to make good use of social networks, not only to maintain communication with those who are far away, but to help us grow, learn and be better every day. I also remind and invite parents not to overlook what their young children do or see on these sites, let us always exercise caution and vigilance over the innocence of the most vulnerable.
